WEDDING VENUE TIPS!

I’m going to start a new series of Reels where I give you tips about planning your wedding day and we’re starting it off by chatting about backup plans for rain.

I cannot tell you how many weddings I’ve photographed that I realized would fall apart if it were to rain.

Some venues have great backup plans for bad weather and honestly some just don’t.

No one wants to think about bad weather on their wedding day BUT thinking about it ahead of time and being prepared is 1000% worth it so you’re not stressed if it becomes a reality.

So when touring venues make sure to ask about their weather plans and make sure the backup is something you’ll be okay with if it comes down to it!

IT’S LIVE ! 🎉

I have always hated my website.

As someone with a background in graphic design, I am too picky to design my own site. I go back and forth on what I want and try to make changes between running every other aspect of this business (which means I never have time to actually get it done properly)

So when and I did a consult call for her wedding and I found out she was a web designer it felt like fate ✨

She took the mess of ideas in my head and created a site that I’m absolutely in love with and now I’m SO excited to share it with you!

During the getting ready part of the day I’ll tell you where to stand for the best lighting. Then I like to let things unfold naturally and document them as they happen.

Sometimes we have to fake it because everyone’s fake nails make doing up the dress too difficult. Or none of the groomsmen know how to pin a boutonniere. So we fake the shot and then I step in to actually get it done 😅

Erin and I both felt that this photo had a Twilight vibe so I had to do a quick edit on it (swipe to see!)

Twilight is a total comfort series for me. I made come with me to the Twilight in Concert in January. I loved being in a room full of people who enjoy theme but can also laugh at the ridiculousness of it all.

I can’t wait for fall so I can wear the HOA HOA shirt I got at the merch booth 🤣
