What if the weather is bad on the day of my session?

This is my most commonly asked question - and for good reason (Alberta, you know what I'm taking about, is this rain ever going to stop?!)!

Weather is unpredictable and unfortunately out of my control but that is why I have a VERY accommodating weather rescheduling policy.

I will always check the forecast in the week leading up to a session, and keep my clients in the loop as to how it's looking. I will automatically reschedule if it is going to be raining, extremely windy, or thunder/lighting. We will reschedule to my next available date and you get first pick over new inquiries. If it is just going to be overcast, I give clients the option to reschedule or go ahead with their original date.

Blossom season is here 🌸 Blink and it will be over though (especially if we get all the rain that they are forecasting this week/weekend)!

I wasn't able to organize it fast enough this year but next year I will be doing on-location blossom mini sessions here on our acreage - I can't wait! For now, you can enjoy Linette posing with our beautiful apple tree 📸🐶

Something different for Tip Tuesday today, let's look at a frequently asked question!

What if I'm not interested in print products?

I do not have a print order minimum in place, so ordering is not required, however your print credit will not be refunded if it is not used and it is not transferable. While I never require a client to print images, as I understand budgets and desires are flexible and individual, if you know that you don’t want prints I would highly recommend the Ship Joy Doc package or considering another photographer, as I will stress the value of prints throughout the experience, simply because I believe they are the best and most important thing I can offer to a client.

I most often hear that clients want a portrait on the wall in their living room or bedroom, maybe an office, but I like to challenge my clients to think outside the box. The art on your walls tells the story of what matters to you, and rooms like the kitchen, dining room, bathroom, and hallways, are often overlooked.

The kind of portrait we put on the wall in those rooms might change, opting for more abstract, artful images in spaces that have a less personal and intimate feel, but personalizing your decor in every room of your house will make it feel uniquely YOU.
