Our thoughts and prayers are with PIA family and effected family members.

Our wings fly black for PIA Pakistan International Airlines flight 8303, which crashed today in a residential neighborhood before landing in Karachi, Pakistan.

The Airbus A320 was coming from Lahore, carrying 90 passengers and eight crew. While a government official reported all on board died in the crash, reports are now saying at least two survivors were found in the wreckage. An investigation is still ongoing to see how many died on the ground.

An other sad new for B777s.

OFFICIAL / Today, Delta Air Lines has confirmed it will retire its 18 Boeing 777s by the end of 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Delta will continue flying its fleet of Airbus A350-900s, which burn 21% less fuel per seat than the 777s they will replace.

On Sunday, March 22 at 11:59 p.m. MDT, WestJet will suspend scheduled commercial operations for all international and transborder flights for a 30 day period. To be clear, this means our final commercially scheduled flights from international and transborder destinations will launch on Sunday night by 11:59 p.m. local time; after that, we will be operating rescue and repatriation flights in partnership with the Canadian government. As of tonight, international and transborder tickets are no longer available for sale during this 30 day period.

Singapore Airlines has just announced that it will be cutting 674 flights (Singapore Airlines and SilkAir) as the on-going corona virus epidemic continues to hit Asia’s travel demand.

Singapore Airlines, along with Silkair, will be cutting 674 flights due to weak demand amidst the on-going coronavirus epidemic. These cut will spread across worldwide, including Europe, USA and Africa from March to May.
