Caswell Aviation VLOG #74 - In this week‘s VLOG, I briefly talk about the EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) regulatory requirements related to flying your sub-250 drone (ie: less than 250 grams) in an EU country. In a nutshell, if you have a camera on it, then you will need to register it in the first European country in which you arrive, but thereafter you don’t need to re-register for any other countries that you visit (as long as they’re part of the EU). Also, you still need to adhere to control zone restrictions, airmanship, any insurance requirements for each country, and common sense.

Caswell Aviation VLOG #73 - Advanced and L1C drone flight review bookings with Caswell Aviation or KR DroneWorks aren’t just bookings followed immediately by the flight reviews. In between the booking and flight review, the candidate is walked through the Transport Canada guidelines via virtual meeting, assigned a practice site survey in advance of the flight review, and provided feedback on the practice site survey. If more practice is needed, then it is provided until the candidate is set up for success. The flight review is then booked when the candidate is ready 👍

Caswell Aviation VLOG #68 - Artemis II has now gone around the dark side of the moon and has set a milestone in space exploration for humankind’s return to lunar surface in two more years. In light of this, a milestone with Caswell Aviation Ltd will be our L1C BVLOS certification this week. We will be operating under our own RPOC and welcome other L1C certified RPAS pilots to contact us as part of our network across Canada for BVLOS projects down the road.
