Many parts of Canada took a hit with wildfires this season and many are still ongoing ❤️🩹
One place that hits hard because I filmed there is Summerland, BC. I had the honour of capturing footage and telling the story of 🐷
So when I heard they were evacuated, I knew I wanted to do something to help ❤️
As it turns out, I was working in Oliver and left just a day prior to the fire in Summerland. While I was in the Okanagan, I had the pleasure of witnessing a family of Quail. Momma, poppa and countless littles! 🥹
I kept thinking I’d love to grab some photos of them! But I didn’t want to stalk and disturb their travels near where I was parked. Then, the morning I was getting ready to leave they walked right by my camper!! 😍
I grabbed my long lens, sat down beside my rear tire and captured this moment of two littles enjoying the sun for a moment before scurrying off to join their family 💞
To me, this signifies a new life, and I named the image “Reborn”. For Stars Piggly Wigglys Sanctuary, they now have to start a new life too, they have to become “reborn” so to speak 💫
So, this image I captured days before Summerland was destroyed I am printing on a metal sheen backdrop and will be raffling off Sept 14 2026. ALL proceeds are going to and you can find the link in my bio to purchase a raffle ticket for the print that will be shipped to the winner 🎟️
