So while we were shooting her head shots for her agent, we were talking, and I mentioned how I would like to have more shots of ladies in their dresses, or grad dresses, as that is something I really enjoy doing. She and her mother kind of laugh and say she just happens to have her grad dress up at her mom's place. And it's red....have I mentioned I love red? So powerful... 30 minutes later, and she is popping out awesome looks like these...such an awesome time shooting her, can't say enough good things. Cheers all!

I met the mother and this lovely aspiring actress/model after another shoot I was doing back in April. They mentioned they hadn't been happy with the headshots they'd had done recently. Fortunately the friend I was with was listening better than I was, and mentioned, hey! He does those! So the next morning...I did those! :-p Agent approved the same week, and I was a happy camper. Honestly, working with Kaya, I don't know how you could screw up. Took direction like a pro, and look at that smile. 100% real every time. Cheers all!

These shots are from a post-fitness competition shoot with Pauline. Unfortunately the shoot was a couple days after her competition, which I attended (she got 2nd place in both categories that she entered!) and the spray tan was starting to show its age, so I mostly preferred the black and white conversions of the pictures that I did of her. (also, I just tend to prefer black and white!) Hopefully they did her justice here! Cheers!

So I see that despite being pretty busy photographically the last couple months, I haven't posted anything! Figures really...always trying to push the work out, not always remembering to show it off! Portrait of another friend, Jill, who posed for me a month ago. Super nervous and not comfortable in front of the camera at first (sound familiar?) 😉 we shot for probably an hour, while I worked on lights and stuff (had new equipment I was trying out for the first time), and kept getting better and better shots. Showed her all the good ones as they kept happening, and in the end, had a bunch that she was happy with, and I was as well. This one kind of captures the innocent look she usually has when you first meet her. The next picture I will post of her caught the more playful look in her smile and eyes. Beautiful woman, super nice. :-)

If you know this wonderful girl, than you know she has a super expressive face, but what everyone remembers is her smile. I did get plenty of those shots of her! However, if you really know her, she also has many other sides to her personality, especially her mischievous side, all of which I tried to capture as well. Anyways, this expression should look familiar to some of you I hope!
