"Little Huson Caves"
"Little Huson Caves" is a hidden gem on Vancouver island.
I was asked by a close friend why I didn't tone down the brightness in this photo? It could have been an easy fix, but I wanted the viewer to experience the scene as I did for the first time in its natural state. The contrast of light and darkness in the scene caught my eye. The blinding light from a hot summers day on my right shoulder and the cold darkness of the cavern I was half standing in was a unique feeling. The bright green waters naturally painting the cave's background and the shadows dancing across the boulder in front of me was all I needed to setup and take the shot. Most shots can be tweaked and modified by programs but in this case why ruin what you truly have seen through your own eyes.
