a very “take me back to New Zealand” type of post 🇳🇿

Been back home and already missing my time in New Zealand, it almost feels like it was all a dream. There’s such complex feelings of coming home from such a magical trip. Feelings of fulfillment and joy for the experiences I’ve had, but also a little sadness that it’s over. Thankfully I have thousands of photographs to look through and reminisce!

Had such an incredible time in NZ and grateful for for showing me her beautiful country!

moody days in the Canadian Rockies 🌥️

Rainy, cloudy, snowy, or sunny… no matter what time of year and no matter the conditions, I will always find beauty in the Canadian Rockies.

If anything the moody days make the blue lakes even bluer 💙

White Sands National Park magic 🪄

This past October I visited White Sands National Park with my insanely talented friend JN. It looked so surreal and otherworldly. We wanted to go there and capture its beauty. Little did we know we were about to create magic.

Once we arrived, I impulsively shared an idea with JN, knowing I could fully trust him with it. He then proceeded to capture me in the most beautiful and unexpected way. I will forever cherish this set of photographs. I’m not sure I’m ready to share them just yet, maybe someday, or maybe they’ll stay just for me. For now, I’ll share these other ones we took that day that I love just as much 🤍

exploring ice caves of the Canadian Rockies ❄️

We visited this ice cave on the last day of 2020 — a pretty unforgettable way to end the year. Because of how quickly these caves change, this one likely doesn’t exist anymore. Seeing and photographing it was something special.

If you can bear the cold, this is what winter can reveal in the Canadian Rockies.

there is beauty in simplicity ☁️

I am trying to practice not everything has to be big and grad for it to be beautiful. To notice the more delicate details in life. This photograph was taken on route to a big grand place in Peru, but as we were driving I had to stop and capture this scene. It was early morning, sun was rising and the fog was sitting on the lake just perfectly. In the lake were these two flamingos swimming side by side. It was so peaceful and serene.

A just little reminder to stop and smell the roses 🌹

sometimes I am not sure how I end up in the places I do - on this day I landed on Mars 📍

Just kidding - this is Peru! On the fourth and last day of the Ausangate trek we finished off by visiting Red Valley. This is a stop after watching sunrise at Rainbow Mountain. Which we had both places to ourselves (the crowd came in just as we were leaving Rainbow Mountain). We were so blowed away by this spot as it was such a uniquely different landscape than what we had seen over the previous four days of the trek! Goes to show just HOW much Peru has to offer!

If you are ever making a stop in Rainbow Mountain, definitely add Red Valley as a stop!

this is what exploring the Canadian Rockies looks like 😍

Growing up in Calgary I had the Rockies as my backyard… I have never grown tired of exploring these beautiful peaks. Some places are easy to access and some you need to hike a bit more but either way the views will never disappoint.

This is home 💜
