Though I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Education, Severe Special Needs and French Literature, and pursued Masters studies in Education, Severe Special Needs, NeuroPsychology and Brain Trauma, my first love, Photography, ultimately won. Upon moving to Calgary, from Denver, Rochester, Boston, and Taichung, Taiwan, I completed a Photography Certificate at SAIT. However, most of what I’ve learned about photography, and my distinct style, was inherited via osmosis from my professional photographer parents back in the day. I am constantly honing my craft through continual learning opportunities, be it through classes, workshops, or approaching those in the field amongst whom I strive to be recognized as their peer in their circle of brilliancy. Wife to my true love of 20+ years, Momma to my 2 littles, who are no longer so little, but will always be my babies, lover of walks in nature, music of most genres, and time with f(r)amily, a true water being (I can sit and play in water for hours upon hours), working out, and big belly-felt laughter. When I’m not in the studio, you’ll usually find me with a matcha in hand, spending time with my dogs, or outside doing something active; swimming, kayaking, walking or attempting pickleball.

I love anything that feels a little creative or inspiring, whether that’s designing sets, taking photos of pretty foods, or trying out different looks just for fun.

It’s less about “clocking out” and more about pouring that same curiosity and creativity into everyday life.

A little glimpse into what it actually feels like inside my studio.

Behind the scenes.

It’s not overly posed or intimidating.
It’s slow mornings, your favourite music playing softly in the background, gentle guidance, quiet encouragement, and subtle direction every step of the way.

It’s small adjustments, natural movement, and creating space for you to settle in and feel comfortable; never rushed, never expected to “perform.”

Most women tell me the same thing before they walk in:
“I’m nervous.”
“I’ve never done anything like this before.”
“I don’t know how to pose.”

You just have to show up and I’ll take care of the rest.

Not because everything felt perfectly planned or polished, but because it surprised her.

In the best way.

It’s fun, It’s exciting. It’s a little out of your comfort zone. It makes you feel something you don’t expect.

More than anything, it’s one of those things you don’t want to keep putting off.

I hear it all the time. “I wish I had done this sooner.”

The truth is, there’s never a perfect moment.

You don’t suddenly wake up one day feeling completely ready or completely confident.

So if you’ve been going back and forth, waiting for the “right” time or the “right” version of yourself, this is me gently telling you that you don’t have to earn the experience before you allow yourself to have it.

One of the questions I’m asked most often is whether you NEED to bring something “sexy” to your session.

The answer is: not necessarily.

“Sexy” isn’t defined by lingerie or any specific look… it’s defined by how you feel.

For some, that feeling may come from wearing delicate lace or silk.

For others, it’s found in something far more personal; a partner’s jersey chosen with intention, a favorite sweater that feels like home or even flowers gathered from your own garden.

These pieces carry meaning and that meaning brings depth to your images in a way nothing else can. It allows your session to feel considered, intimate and entirely your own.

I always encourage my clients to bring something that reflects them, not just how they want to be seen, but how they feel while wearing it.

If you prefer to arrive with nothing at all, that’s just as beautiful.

The studio offers a thoughtfully curated client closet, and I will guide you through selecting pieces that will enhance your natural beauty & photograph you stunningly.

All of this while also aligning with your vision, so every detail feels personalized.

This experience was never meant to fit into a single definition of “sexy.”

From the moment you walk in, we start with makeup + lashes, ease into the session and take our time creating a space where you actually feel comfortable.

Your favorite music is playing, the vibe is relaxed and it feels like a fun girls’ day.

There’s room for outfit changes, and I even have a client closet you can pull from if you want to try something new or step a little outside of your comfort zone.

We’ll choose a few sets together that feel natural to you. Nothing forced. Only what fits your vision, or my vision, if you’d rather I pamper you fully with my expertise.

Every part of this space is designed so you can relax, feel taken care of, and really lean into the moment. Your moment.

I think people assume it’s all about the photo… but for me, it never has been.

It’s the moment right before it.

The shift I can feel when you start to relax. When you stop overthinking. When you finally see yourself as the beauty I do.

That’s what I’m watching for the entire time.
