Having fun at spruce meadows today. make sure you check out the grounds this weekend to see the competitions

The Spruce Meadows accredited media took to the congress hall parking lot today to test their skills as fire fighters in the Fire Fit obstacle course. The media volunteers put out an impressive effort, but the Firefighters make it look effortless in comparison. Join us this weekend for the thrilling conclusion of the ‘National’, presented by Rolex which celebrates the heroic efforts of First Responders, and catch the Fire Fit Regional Championships running Saturday and Sunday. /Max FireFit Championships

This Album features photos I have taken of some of the lovely animals that are or were lucky enough to have ended up at Heaven Can Wait.

"Heaven Can Wait Animal Rescue Foundation is currently the only rescue organization covering the area south of Okotoks to Claresholm, Vulcan west to Longview and even some points beyond.

Kim Hessel, Founder, saw a critical need for a group dedicated to helping rural animals after a particularly gruesome and disturbing case of animal abuse within the Town of High River in February of 1999. Options and education are still needed today to offer protection and empathy towards the unwanted animals of our society."
