When Kayla wanted her shoot to feel like real life, we ditched the stiff posing, hooked up the hose, and turned her Calgary backyard into a full-blown splash zone.

Barefoot runs, wet hair, golden hour light, and pure, unfiltered giggles—watching Kayla hold her bump while laughing through the spray was absolute magic.

Proof that love is messy, fun, and involves getting sprayed in the face with a garden hose. 💦✨

Ingredients for the perfect session:
1. One very patient pup named Janice 🐾
2. A hose with zero boundaries 🌊
3. A couple who isn't afraid to get completely soaked for a good laugh 🤍

Capturing Zach & Emma in their element, a backyard water fights, dog zoomies, and endless laughs was easily a highlight of the season. The best memories aren't staged, they’re lived!

Nolan has officially entered his Big Brother era, and to say he is obsessed with baby sister Maya would be the understatement of the year. The second we laid her down, he was right there, holding her tiny toes, giving non-stop forehead kisses, and making sure everyone knew this was his baby.

Honestly, getting 19 people, 4 generations, and two wildly energetic toddlers in one place is an Olympic sport, but this crew made it look easy. Between chasing the littles through the prairie grass, watching all five adult siblings roast each other, and catching sweet moments with the grandparents, this Okotoks Erratic session was pure joy.

I haven’t been sharing as many sneak peeks lately because, well... Busy Season has been in full swing! But the second I snapped this one, I knew it wasn’t going to sit in my camera roll for long.

This is what happens when you let go, trust your photographer, and just play. Kayla went from client to dear friend, and I am endlessly obsessed with her growing family. Add in a gorgeous +30° summer evening, and it was absolute perfection.
