September was a wild ride between sessions, school, and an internship, but we’re finding our rhythm over here ✨🍂

But TGIF! Can’t wait for this much needed long weekend to get to some current fall session editing, and a little R&R.

Will forever love this blue hour “into the woods” session with J + K, it was the perfect setting and vibe to match their story & their outdoor adventure lovin’ souls! We took a walk in the woods, had lots of laughs, and cracked a few cold ones by the lake to end the evening 🌙

If love had a season, it would look like this: golden light, film tones, a little bit of chaos, and the feeling of home 🍂✨🎞️

Twelve years with my soul dog, Izzy. From chaotic university housing on the east coast to mountain foothills on the west. The kind of love that grows up with you.

I wanted to take these family self-portraits to remember us here, in a season that feels like her: warm, gentle, and full of love.

She’s been here through it all: late-night studying, graduations, the first apartment I could barely afford, cross-country moves, starting a business, engagements, weddings, the highs the lows, and the day I finally met my husband.

She’s been my constant, through every chapter 📖
SO, if you’ve been waiting for a sign to sneak away take your own family photos, this might be it 💛 Life gets busy, but it’s worth sneaking away for an hour or two to capture the moments that you’ll want to hold onto long after they’re gone.

💔 Jasper. I wish I could share all the beauty I’ve witnessed over the years in one post. A place that holds a special place in so many people’s hearts, ours included. Almost every summer since moving to Alberta in 2016, I’ve been lucky enough to spend time in this magical place. It was my first mountain camping trip with the new friends I made after moving out here. Whether we were backcountry camping, taking our fur baby Izzy on her annual Jasper camping trip, spending time with family & friends. Stargazing & admiring the majestic Perseid meteor shower, or waking up at the crack of dawn to capture an epic sunrise. Jumping in the lakes, fishing, adventuring, exploring, or having unforgettable times at 4 peaks with new friends, we are lucky enough to have collected so many memories in this truly special place over the years.

Our hearts are heavy & our thoughts are with the people of Jasper, the firefighters, folks on the front line of this tragedy, the precious wildlife, businesses, and everyone + everything that has been affected.

We love you Jasper.
