I met Alanna at my last wedding of 2025 in the wedding party and now we got to hang out agaaaain! 😍 except it was her turn to be the main character in front of the camera…with Mitchell I guess 😂
Alanna said she would love their engagement photos at . So obviously I whipped out my email and asked the store if it was okay! … they said yes and were so easy to work with! 😍
The whole session was like being at IKEA playing house in different eras 😂 Alanna said she loves to read so we had to incorporate some books throughout the shoot…they were VERY special first edition books so they were handled with so much care and love!! it was so much fun!! Hiiighly recommend using something u love to do for ur session. It makes ur photos a lot more you! 😍

first wedding of 2026 started with a BANG 💥 🎇

January surprised us all with 10 degrees, blue skies, and no need for a coat! 😳😳
Tina & Aidan’s day was full of beautiful, genuine moments: that stunning embroidered veil (still can’t get over it), the flower girl scattering petals from their dating days, Aidan’s happy tears despite his best efforts, a touching communion shared with everyone, and a summer camp themed reception since that’s where they met🥹 a cocktail hour filled with card games and board games, a reception with pottery and pie auctions and a scavenger hunt musical chairs cracked everyone up!

By the end, me and the whole wedding party felt like old friends😜 Idk how many times I got asked, “How long have you known them?” 😏 people were genuinely surprised we’d only just met at their engagement session. Honestly THE BEST compliment from guests 🥰😍

All week the forecast said ❄️… then Saturday rolled in with sunshine, wind, and rain …because of course it did 😂
Kaitlyn made the call to move the ceremony inside (thankfully), but before that we had the sweetest first look and private vows where Nick had full-on tears streaming down his face 🥹
We wandered the Calgary Zoo for portraits (yes, we got flamingo pics 🦩💅), popped champagne at their champagne toast🍾, and ended the night with flip cup battles that had even the grandmas invested.
The perfect mix of emotions, chaos, and so much love …and somehow, the first snow of the season waited until the very end ❄️🤍😮‍💨

sometimes I forget to get in front of my own camera…so here’s proof I exist outside Lightroom 🤪

After years of saying “we should totally do branding photos in the mountains,” we finally did…with almost zero plan, questionable coordination, and a whole lot of vibes and enthusiasm we ventured outside ⛰️

Dragged Blaide out to hold gear like a true MVP, gave a crash course in Canon (she’s a Sony girlie), and ended up laying in a mountain meadow like we were filming either a perfume commercial or a full on rom-com😂

film and flash always seem to catch the versions of me that digital alone misses… the ones mid-blink, mid-laugh, mid-“wait, is this thing even focused?” 😂
but that’s the fun part…the blur, the overexposure, the chaos🤪🤪
