Painting in general isn’t normally an art medium I gravitate towards but I had a calling to go pick up some oil paints that I suppressed for too long 🙈… strangely, I have feared them for as long as I can remember (I think the time to dry, the messy cleanup and needing good ventilation was the main deterrent).

Looking to learn as much as I can 🤍

I would love your favourite oil tips and to see your work too! If you have any suggestions for artists to follow (specially alla prima style) please tag them below! I love being inspired — truly no better feeling that being in an artistic adhd surge 🙈🤣🎨💅

I feel like I have put delusional expectations on myself in regards to the final result of this piece but I’ll be sure to bring you along while I finish it!

Hey photog friends!

I’m doing a huge destash of my client closet and are putting the remaining of our Inspired Gowns on sale 🤍
Comment on this post if you’re interested, and if you want to see the rest of my destash from my personal client collection, head over to my private group “Stay Inspired With Ang McCabe” to see them all!

I designed this gown because I wanted to make sure I always had something beautiful, versatile and size inclusive.

Features:
One size (fits XS to XXL)
Multi-way wear
Comes with a skirt and two tops that can be worn as separates or together as a dress

I have limited amounts of each colour (cream shown in pic, champagne, hunter green and golden brown).

Prices are in CAD ($179 CAD is approx $126 USD). I can ship anywhere in Canada or USA for a flat $20. I can ship anywhere else but will need to calculate shipping costs for you ◡̈

Thanks for checking them out 🤍

Real talk…

How has everyone been doing?

As an empath through and through (and a Pisces on top of that), sometimes the weight of the world gets to me and I kind of slip into the bushes (insert Homer Simpson meme here lol). It doesn’t mean I don’t want to show up.

Over the past decade of dedicating so much of my time to educating photographers, I think I’ve unintentionally put myself in a position where people look to me for answers, solutions, and support. And truthfully, that’s what I love. I love helping people have those “aha” moments and accomplish things they never thought possible, whether that’s building a business or creating images they can’t believe they took.

The hard part is that when I feel like I’m not showing up how people expect or are used to, I feel like I’m letting people down.
I also have the beautiful gift of having raging ADHD (thankfully meds help a bit), but the rejection sensitivity is something that continues to get at me. My brain is wildly creative, which is both my greatest strength and sometimes my greatest downfall. It creates stories, worst-case scenarios, and irrational fears.

I know there are photographers who seem completely unaffected by the economy, but I also know (and hear from) a large group who are struggling. Not just photographers, but educators, vendors, and even conferences that have quietly had to close their doors because they simply aren’t sustainable anymore.

That trickle-down effect reaches educators too. Fewer photographers can justify investing in education right now, and if I’m being completely honest, I don’t feel confident telling people to raise their prices and invest in themselves as the answer to be more successful in this current moment (hopefully just a short season that passes soon).

Stef, Kent, Noah and Goldie 💛
(isn’t that the sweetest name 😫?)

I love what I do, but it means even more when it’s people I hold close 🥹

💛It’s been such an honour capturing my beautiful friend through all her magical seasons in life (for the past … maybe 7yrs?) and witnessing their love grow into the sweetest little family ❤️

☀️I made a trip out to visit Stef in Canada’s official sunniest city so I could show our upcoming Milky Way Family Retreat students how to create a full, beautiful gallery in just 20–30 minutes (because with kids… you don’t always get more time than that — IYKYK 😆).

📸⏰Every image you see here was captured in that short window. No complicated prompts, no memorized poses… just a simple mental checklist and rhythm I come back to for nearly every session. It allows me to stay present, focus on my clients, and create a gallery with depth and variety… without relying on a Pinterest shot list.

🌟 Honest, raw connection and capturing your clients for WHO they are (and not just a never ending Pinterest inspo board) will never go out of style.

🎉If you’re already feeling the fomo and want full behind-the-scenes (including unfiltered audio, editing, and my fail-proof shot flow), plus 20 (yes, TWENTY) other workshops from incredibly talented photographers, I’d love to have you inside the Milky Way 2026 Online Family Retreat.

Join the waitlist through the link in my bio for early access, first details, and upcoming giveaways ◡̈

🎨Edited with my new Evoke 2.0 presets available soon! 💥

I’m more concerned about the person who offloaded this monstrosity of creepy dolls to Good Will 😬👻
