Stef, Kent, Noah and Goldie 💛
(isn’t that the sweetest name 😫?)

I love what I do, but it means even more when it’s people I hold close 🥹

💛It’s been such an honour capturing my beautiful friend through all her magical seasons in life (for the past … maybe 7yrs?) and witnessing their love grow into the sweetest little family ❤️

☀️I made a trip out to visit Stef in Canada’s official sunniest city so I could show our upcoming Milky Way Family Retreat students how to create a full, beautiful gallery in just 20–30 minutes (because with kids… you don’t always get more time than that — IYKYK 😆).

📸⏰Every image you see here was captured in that short window. No complicated prompts, no memorized poses… just a simple mental checklist and rhythm I come back to for nearly every session. It allows me to stay present, focus on my clients, and create a gallery with depth and variety… without relying on a Pinterest shot list.

🌟 Honest, raw connection and capturing your clients for WHO they are (and not just a never ending Pinterest inspo board) will never go out of style.

🎉If you’re already feeling the fomo and want full behind-the-scenes (including unfiltered audio, editing, and my fail-proof shot flow), plus 20 (yes, TWENTY) other workshops from incredibly talented photographers, I’d love to have you inside the Milky Way 2026 Online Family Retreat.

Join the waitlist through the link in my bio for early access, first details, and upcoming giveaways ◡̈

🎨Edited with my new Evoke 2.0 presets available soon! 💥

Flexing ye-old ancient skills of photoshop … can you tell I’m sick of the snow and just want it to be summer? 😆🌴☀️

How comfortable are you with Photoshop?

How much have you incorporated AI into your workflow?

While I definitely use incredible programs like .ai and ai tools in Photoshop and Lightroom at times, I definitely do a lot by hand ✨

In Calgary or southern Alberta? I’m currently booking maternity sessions into the spring and summer ❤️ [email protected] (DM’s are a hot dumpster fire, don’t inquire there lol)

I will never not peel my oranges like a 8==D. Some things you’ll never grow out of.

I’ve made art my whole life… but never actually sold it (aside from photography).

I love creating more “serious” work… but I’ve also been making ph***ic drawings since 1999 😂 (proof from some recent findings in my year books and a dusty box of notes from junior high lol).

So I leaned in.

This coloured pencil series plays with perception, censorship, and suggestion. At first it might make you laugh… but maybe it also makes you question why it might make you uncomfortable or take a second look.

Because at the end of the day—it’s just everyday objects but the censorship and strategic composition make us automatically assume otherwise.

Either way… here’s my art. Finally putting it out there ✨
More coming (yes… including the V set 🍒)

For a very specific crowd… you know who you are ❤️

I will never not peel my oranges like a 8==D.

Despite creating art my entire life, I’ve never actually sold it (other than photography of course).

Last summer I was inspired by an incredible coloured pencil artist at the Calgary Stampede (Jessica Lennox— check out her incredible work ). We got chatting for a while which ultimately ended up in me picking up a set of Faber-Castell Polychromos ✨

While I enjoy making serious art (usually botanical or equine based) I am enjoy going back to my roots of drawing ph***ic things— since 1999 lol (recently found my old year books and box of notes to confirm this fact about my 8==D illustrations lol). I’m pretty much Jonah Hill in Superbad … but the OG before the movie ever came out lol

If you stay young at heart, I believe you can see a peen in everything… when it’s a part of you, you can’t simply “grow out of it” 😂

So, I decided to make my parents proud and lean in.

Now at first you may have a chuckle (I want my art to spark some laughter) but at the same time I wanted to add an element that gets you thinking more (with the pixelation and strategic composition).

As a photographer who takes sometimes quite intimate photos of my clients, it is a gamble as to whether or not Instagram / Facebook deems it appropriate or not. I have never posted anything that I considered too explicit for social media… especially compared to what else is out there— namely from the big brands, celebrities and influencers who push these invisible and ever-changing boundaries daily.

Yet, I’ve had my photogtaphy account suspended multiple times for ridiculous reasons. Did you know that a guy *removing his shirt* in a photo is considered a sexual act and is considered innapropriate for IG? But, if he was just shirtless it would have been okay. I couldn’t post or go live for 30 days (which it ultimately affected my income hugely as my business is mostly online based).

My artwork (the pieces below) have already been censored on other platforms, I was also made to flag it with NSFW (it’s just a sausage and eggs, c’mon people).

My work inherently has nothing wrong with it when you truly look at the elements. I guess a big point of creating these conceptual pieces was to test how the audience perceives it.

I wanted this series to make you take a second look and really think about why you’re drawn to it or why you don’t like it… maybe it has more to do with the viewer than the art itself.

So.. here is my art. Finally mustered up the courage to release it ✨
More to come, including my V set 🍒

And yes, I will release some serious, beautiful art that my mom would rather hang on her wall than this.

It’s definitely for a specific crowd with the same brain as me ❤️

Thanks for checking it out! Share with anyone you think may enjoy it too ◡̈

I’ve been really loving linocut printmaking lately.

There’s something so satisfying about working with my hands in a more sculptural, 3D way through the carving… and then seeing it translate into a finished 2D print. It feels like the best of both worlds ✨

Watch the process of making my traveler’s palm up until the point of printing (I think this would look amazing in gold ink or as a blind emboss) — will share that soon using my new press 🥰🥰

There’s always a million things to do and overflowing headspace — I can’t remember the last time I was bored.

For a moment I forced it and found joy using my hands in my favourite way that I never make time for these days.

This year I’m finally putting my art out to the world (outside of photography).

So, if things have felt challenging, your time for clarity, freedom and movement is finally on the horizon 🤍

It’s so sad when Mother Nature decides to get angry. It’s crazy to think that these 12,000 yr old basalt columns are now just a part of the ocean along with a huge portion of that coastline :(

Reynisfjörður Beach in Iceland will always hold a special place in my heart — in 2013 it’s where we got engaged and have been back multiple times since then because we can’t get enough of that beautiful country.

Sad to see the topography change so drastically, but grateful to have experienced and photographed it 💔❤️🇮🇸

Where we got engaged and where we eloped (Hopewell Cape, NB) both have very unique rock formations and it’s ironic that both places have had some severe collapse and major changes to their geography 😞
