太陽不斷放電（粒子），地球嘅磁場不斷將電導向地球兩極，電撞向大氣層就開始發光，就像霓虹燈被通電一樣。

當粒子撞到：
低空的氧氣，會變綠色
高空的氧氣，會變紅色
氮氣，會變紫色 / 粉色

於是你看到天空像在跳舞一樣的光帶，這就是北極光😊

呢幾年其實係Calgary裏面睇到北極光嘅次數都好多，好似好容易睇到，唔使等到深夜去睇，亦都唔使走到郊外去睇，市區內都可以見到，但係喺郊外睇北極光梗係強好多啦！因為市區裏面有燈光污染。但係呢兩次都可以影到唔錯嘅作品。
