Found this little gem tucked away in the forest on trip down to Waterton earlier this year. These falls were not visible from the trail, however you could hear the faint sound of rushing water which of course required further investigation!

I took a little hike to check how much the river had frozen up at this particular location with low expectations. Like usual, the stars aligned for only a few short seconds when this moose trotted through the ice cold river with the morning rays of sun poking through the overcast sky. I was kicking myself for not being more prepared and aware of the scene unfolding in front of my eyes but still pretty pumped that I walked out of there with an image worthy to present to all of you!

Hey all, I’m going to be putting in my order for my yearly calendars soon. Hit me up if you would like some! $20 dollars each, or 4 for $60!

This was the backyard we had during our stay on Quadra Island. There’s nothing like sipping on a cup of Joe in the morning, and seeing humpback whales breach the waters in the distance.
