A magical day in the Rockies where we got every single type of weather imaginable. From clouds to sun and even a dash of hail to keep things spicy. But the cherry on top was a beautiful rare evening of low winds so we could end the night at 10,000ft. A magical day from start to finish. Thank you so much for having us N and M.

This is Bec and Kevin. Two incredibly kind humans with a deep love for each other and these mountains.
Andrew and I first met Kevin years ago when we were both living and working in Waterton. Since then, our lives ended up following similar paths. Kevin also met an Australian called Bec, and they built a life together in Calgary before moving back to Australia.
Last year, Bec was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer.
Rather than waiting for the “right time,” they decided they didn’t want to put off getting married any longer. They came back to a place that is so special to them: the Canadian Rockies and spent the afternoon exploring around Banff before ending the day signing paperwork over a cozy dinner with family.
With Bec’s permission, we wanted to share a little of her story in her words, in the hope that it raises awareness, highlights the importance of ongoing research, and reminds anyone facing something similar that they aren’t alone.

“In April 2025, when I was 39 years old, I noticed some changes in my breast and went to my doctor. About a week later, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. A week after that, I found out it was stage 4, as it had already spread to most of my bones.
Stage 4 breast cancer means ‘treatable but incurable.’ I’ll be on treatment for the rest of my life. My life depends on research into new treatments, and we have a lot of hope that research will give me many more years.
Despite having hope, we’re also realistic about our situation. That’s why we want to live every day and not put off the important things. One of those things was getting married in the place that means so much to us: the Canadian mountains where our relationship began.
Being on treatment has changed how I look and how I feel about my body. My hair has fallen out, my skin has changed, and I often don’t feel like myself. But for the first time since being diagnosed, these photos made me feel beautiful. They mean everything to us and our families.”

After a magical week of adventurous elopements in Norway, we’re heading home. The summer months are so alive in this remote northern landscape and we were so surprised with how vibrant and green everything was compared to the last time we visited. We can’t wait to share what we got up to with our sweet couples… after sorting through the thousands and thousands of images we took 🍃☀️

Give me sparkling confetti from the sky any day 🌧️

These two experienced the most beautiful moody weather for their elopement in Banff and their first time exploring the Canadian Rockies.

This year has been soooo magic already and it’s not even July! 🥹

Today we sent off this snowy sunrise helicopter elopement gallery and couldn’t help but share a few more from this day.

Some moments that will stay permanently with me are:
-Following a snowy ridgeline until we found a spot flat enough to land.
-Kicking up snow as we approached and it glittering in the golden sunrise light ✨
-Breaking trail with deep footprints, exploring somewhere completely new that no one has ever been for wedding photos!
-Watching the sun paint the lake blue as it rose throughout the morning.

So grateful for days like this and couples that are down to adventure and explore new places ☀️❄️

What’s inside WILDLIGHT: a collection presets and editing tutorials built for wedding and elopement photographers.
The tools we use to create timeless, cinematic images across all of our galleries.

Over the years, we realized something. We were making the same colour, masking and final adjustments in almost every photo.

Eventually, we started saving those adjustments, refining them, and building them into tools that made editing faster, simpler and more intuitive.

A system that helped us create more consistent galleries, spend less time second-guessing ourselves, and adapt to all kinds of lighting conditions and landscapes.

That’s what became WILDLIGHT.

Not just a collection of presets, but the workflow we’ve developed through 12 years of photographing weddings and elopements.

If you’re curious to see more, or to watch a live demo, comment WILDLIGHT below and we’ll show you exactly how we use it.

So stoked to announce that this image made it into the winning selection of best of the best destination photo contest for this year! The full gallery was just revealed and wow, the talent in this industry keeps getting better and better! We are so honoured to be featured alongside some truly talented artists.

We are so grateful to our couple for trusting us with all the memories of their adventurous, intimate wedding on Vancouver Island. We will never forget arriving at the airstrip in the dark, early hours of the morning and taking off through the mist. Flying through the low clouds in the valley as the sun rose and finding this perfect snowy peak to explore.

Thank you to the Junebug team for the work that goes in behind the scenes and to the judges for the difficult task of choosing 50 images from what we know would have been thousands of incredible photos.

It’s easy to get caught up in our editing, emails, and all the behind-the-scenes work that comes with running this business. So moments like this are a good reminder to pause and appreciate how lucky we are to do what we do.
