Happy Wedding Day, Lisa and David!! 💍❤️ Congratulations and I wish you all the best in the next chapter of your lives!

It was such a dream capturing their love, story and sweetness with each other! We had so much fun together being comfy and letting their genuine selves out! We even channeled Lisa’s inner goddess playing with her dress and the light! ✨

They wanted a more relaxed and less formal Engagement photos than their intensive full day pre-wedding session in Vietnam, and I can attest we fully achieved that! 😉

“My fiancé and I recently had an amazing experience with Leigh Anne for our engagement shoot at the Central Library! My fiancé can be a shy person so it was great that Leigh Anne made sure to check in with both of us frequently to ensure that we felt comfortable while we were being photographed in public. She scoped out some spots within the library beforehand so she could guide us from spot to spot, even noting which areas were more quiet (private) than others in case we felt nervous. She was incredibly friendly throughout the entire process.

Leigh Anne could tell immediately if a pose felt awkward and gave us directions on what to do with our hands and chin, which was helpful since we aren’t natural posers. I even had a minor disaster getting chocolate on my white dress, but she was so professional and kind, helping me angle myself so the stain wouldn’t show in the shots and reminding me she could edit out the stain. From our initial planning to her clear communication about the final timeline, we are so grateful for her time and expertise!”

From day one, right away, I noticed how genuine, caring and loving you are to everyone you love and how much you value Family! What a blessing it is to have experience that everyday of our lives!

It has been extraordinarily special creating our beautiful life and family together, and sharing everything with you..

As a Calgary Wedding photographer, it is a joy for me to help my couples tell their story and bring their visions into their reality that they can relive over and over again in their photos and films! One of the details of your story that is important and hugely affects your wedding memories is your venue.

Your wedding venue is the most crucial, high-impact for your wedding, as the primary backdrop that defines the atmosphere and sets the aesthetic for your photos and films.
It automatically sends the tone, theme, and meaning of your wedding. It’s lighting, its ambience and vibe, its size, its aesthetics, structure and architecture all affects your photos.

Furthermore, here are some things you might want to consider when deciding your venue:

✨accommodations,
✨possible spots around the area to do your wedding portraits and to intentionally create your films and so on.

✅SAVE this for your Wedding Day! Posing for your solo portraits doesn’t have to be too complicated. Sometimes the most natural and easiest thing we do can just be the best way for you to feel relaxed, calm and effortlessly cool.

With just a little bit of creative direction from me —I.e where to look, where to put your hands and a gentle reminder to empty your front pockets and that it is, indeed, one of the most important day of your life, can result to your stunning portraits— ones that you’ve never had and done before!

Above all, it is important to be mindful of your feelings and thoughts on your Wedding day. I cannot emphasize enough that whatever you’re feeling at the time would make a huge impact on your photos and overall experience!

So, breathe, relax and think of taking your portraits time as a way to CREATE MEMORIES FOR YOU TO LOOK BACK ON and not a chore or a must-do. I promise you, in 10-20 years, you will (like most men do) be happy we have taken your portraits ‘back then’!😉
