As a Calgary Wedding photographer, it is a joy for me to help my couples tell their story and bring their visions into their reality that they can relive over and over again in their photos and films! ✅SAVE this for your Wedding Day! Posing for your solo portraits doesn’t have to be too complicated. Sometimes the most natural and easiest thing we do can just be the best way for you to feel relaxed, calm and effortlessly cool.

With just a little bit of creative direction from me —I.e where to look, where to put your hands and a gentle reminder to empty your front pockets and that it is, indeed, one of the most important day of your life, can result to your stunning portraits— ones that you’ve never had and done before!

Above all, it is important to be mindful of your feelings and thoughts on your Wedding day. I cannot emphasize enough that whatever you’re feeling at the time would make a huge impact on your photos and overall experience!

So, breathe, relax and think of taking your portraits time as a way to CREATE MEMORIES FOR YOU TO LOOK BACK ON and not a chore or a must-do. I promise you, in 10-20 years, you will (like most men do) be happy we have taken your portraits ‘back then’!😉

“With you, there’s only one way.. the right way 💕🥰”

This downtown Calgary session with J + B was so fun!
When they saw their sneak peeks during the session, they said they finally understood why everyone loves this spot for photos because look at these banger photos that we did!!! 🤩

It looked like it came right out of their very own movie:

The iconic Calgary tower, the romantic european vibe of Stephen ave, our very own Canadian Pacific Railway and these two beautiful people who are in love, in the moment and enjoying each other’s presence and love.

As a Calgary photographer, being able to create stunning and meaningful art for them, is such an honour and I was living that we lucked out on few pockets of moments without people on a busy weekend especially slides 2, 3 & 4! (or at least I was able to make it work with my magic haha 😉)

POV: Your favourite humans are getting married 💍🐶

Could they be more adorable? When they brought Hudson, their fur baby, to celebrate with us on their Engagement session, I couldn’t be more excited! He was such a sweetie and brought lots of kisses and snuggles. Him sporting that customized bandana showing off E + L’s hand-sewn initials are the perfect way their portrait session more personalized and a true reflective of their story and what matters to them 💕

We had fun and the golden hour contrasting the winter snow, their love for each other along with Hudson’s snuggles brought all the warmth and magic in this Winter Engagement portrait session!

Happy anniversary!! J+J’s journey to marriage was nothing easy. They have built 20+ years of deep relationship full of love, care, respect, solid foundation, surviving any adversities and creating their precious children and a beautiful family.

Last year, they decided to make everything official in one of the most iconic places in Canmore — Canmore Engine Bridge for stunning mountain views and to be so close to nature. All the way from the Edmonton, together with their extended family, they celebrated their love and commitment to each other that goes way back. I have had the opportunity of witnessing and documenting how beautiful their Wedding day was, filled with love, support of their families, calm, joy and the magic of snow falling. Their wedding reminded me that above everything else, love and commitment to being there for each other.. no matter what..is what marriage is truly about.

When two worlds become one ❤️ A + N’s Engagement session at the mountains was the perfect mix of combination of two things existing at the same time — beauty of fall and magic of snow, warmth of the golden glow and breeze of winter chill, the jaw-dropping glory of mountains and calmness of the half-frozen pond, the perfect balance of fun and glam and a session full of laughters and play, and the stillness and comfort of being in each other’s arms.

Their photos tell exactly that.

We had a blast creating magic on one of the most important milestones in their lives! Such a full circle experience that A chose to wear the same hat and outfit she wore when N proposed to her at Fairmont Banff Springs!!
I helped them with fun prompts to help them get comfy and get those genuine reactions come out and direct them with posing so they can look their best and sweetest on their photos!
I was also able to help them choose this stunning spot from my Exclusive Client location recommendations list.
They both look great on both outfits and we had SO much fun together!
To top it off, N said he had so much fun with the session and that compliment coming from a man— we all know what a big deal that is 😉

Do you prefer Coloured, Black & White or Both?🖤
I believe that coloured photos are more vibrant and lively; true reflection of the time, the setting, the season, the ambiance, and the vibe of the moment; they’re more warm and inviting just like a big hug.

While Black & white photography is more classic, and timeless. It gives you the nostalgia, and sometimes the drama.
It’s more focused on the emotions and feeling of the moment. It’s more focused on the couple and what they’re feeling at the moment. Black & white reflect the true essence of the photograph to its core, when all the colours and distractions are removed. That’s why I love black and white!
Art is subjective, but what matters is its meaning to you. It’s based on what you prefer and what you use it for.

As a Calgary wedding photographer, I usually pick photos that are great for both coloured and black and white photography and add them in your gallery, so that you don’t have to choose.
I know both will be meaningful to you cause these are your memories just in different forms of art.

You deserve memories that you can hold on to forever, that give you that nostalgic feeling of being back to that exact moment, those memories that make you laugh and give you comfort.. make you smile, or cry and sometimes, both at the same time.
