What do people do in downtown Toronto when many centimetres of snow falls over a few hours? (1) Hide in the Eaton Centre? (2) Walk the snow covered streets. (3) Deliver food on an electric bike. (4) Dodge traffic and seniors. (5) Feed the birds, tuppence a bag.

Toronto received a good dump of snow last week and I got caught up in it. Life keeps on going despite snow covered roads and sidewalks.

Starting tomorrow, a new show opens up at The Colborne Art Gallery in--you guessed it--Colborne. I'm a member and will have new prints from last October's Sardenia trip on display. It runs until September 7. Stop in if you're in the neighbourhood. The gallery is open Thu-Sun, 12-4pm. There's no charge but there's all sort of cool, local art available.

An artists' association I belong to, Spirit of the Hills, has its annual Juried Show & Reception this Saturday, May the 4th. I was fortunate to have my submissions selected for the final group. The show runs from May 4 to June 8 at the John M. Parrott Art Gallery (3rd Floor, Belleville Public Library). Admission is free so check out the wonderful pieces by artists who call towns and places in Northumberland County home.

Starting this Saturday, May 4, the Spirit of the Hill Arts Association opens its Juried Show. Fortunately for me, three of my photos were selected as finalists and will be on display.

The Annual SOTH Juried Show is upon us and, for this year, finalists for the show are on display at the Parrott Gallery, a lovely location of the 3rd floor of the Belleville Public Library. The opening reception is this Saturday, May 4th. It's a great show with absolutely stellar pieces by SOTH members. If you are an art lover and in Belleville over the next few weeks, drop in and have a look. Admission is free.

I have photos in the show. I'll be there late as the blues band I play with (Blindsided) is giving our final performance that same afternoon.
