I cried cutting tomatoes today. 😭

There I was in my kitchen with my eyes watering because I was preparing to make pasta sauce. A wave of emotions got the best of me while I was blurry eyed trying not to cut my fingers off. Memories flooded me with time spent in my uncle and aunts second kitchen basement watching my family prepare to make jars of traditional Italian tomato sauce. I could see my nanny with her tomato stained apron holding her plastic coloured handle knife standing at large table with big bins of cut up tomatoes. Suddenly the smell brought me back to a time where I was surrounded by love, laughter and food. Feeling thankful for these childhood memories.

It’s the last bit of summer and I’m so thankful to be soaking up all my summer time with my family and friends. Plus, our trip out to Prince Edward Island was amazing. I’ve been back and forth about creating a Reel to share what we did on our road trip out East, but for now I’ll hold onto the memories and share them with someone beside me. There’s something nostalgic about sharing a photo during a gathering and having the opportunity to express the experience in real time. I loved going on trips before social media and having prints ready or digital slideshows to share when we returned home.

This week I’m preparing my boys for back to school I’m feeling like it’s going to be an exciting season. Coming this fall I’ll be launching my new brand and website. Looking forward to sharing with you all. Thanks to for allowing me to go through the whole process thoughtfully and slowly.

When building your personal branding it’s sometimes confusing who you should hire or who will help you succeed. There are so many aspects to consider when intentionally creating a brand and experience for your clients and/or customers. A photographer is not going to help you solve all your business needs.

If you are considering working with a professional photographer here are more services I recommend you work with.

I suggest investing in these types of services before booking a professional photographer for your product or personal photos. You can find a mix of people who will offer these services or if you’re lucky you can find someone who can do more than one.

Website Designers can be hired before or after working with a professional photographer. Still, I find it is helpful to hire a website designer before or have them work together with your photographer.
