You didn't think it could happen
We are a good family
We have good jobs
We raised our kids right

We didn't know
They never said a thing
They may have seemed a little moody
Perhaps a little distant
You received a call that changed you life forever
They stopped coming home
We thought it was a phase
They know the dangers of drugs
Our kids know better
You received a call that changed your life forever
Yes some stuff happened
It does all families you know
We dealt with it internally
We didn't want people to know our business

We couldn't take it
It was too much
The family was being torn apart
We love them but it's hard, so very hard.

Our friends kind of backed away from us
We felt alone isolated scared and ashamed
We didn't know what to do
We heard whispers of, yes we heard its was drugs, a shame really, such a good family. We hear they are in rehab

Hi Mom, Dad
I'm ready to come home
I feel good stable confident
We have work to do as a family
I'm ready for the hard work to move forward
