so passionate about capturing emotion through the lens and expressing stories through cinemetography and photography. I Recently discovered this love for photography and film. A dream that was always inside of me, just waiting to come out in God's perfect timing. I've had a lot of confirmation these last couple months but have been fighting with it on the inside. Only to come to realize that you can't change what gifts God has given you, eventually he pulls them out of you. I love taking pictures and freezing the one thing that is always always changing and moving- which is time,. Change is the only "constant" thing. Its inevitable , no matter what we all go through change. So I have found one of my happy places in capturing a moment that will be frozen in time, a moment and a memory that can tell a thousand words so that we may never forget where this life has taken us and the moments and the people that have impacted us greatly. Kinda chic to invite me to photograph your engagement session, your wedding, your first baby, and now your second baby. 🥹

We started in their kitchen making breakfast, tapping noses with whipped cream and dancing to Taylor Swift. Then we wandered into the backyard with a few strawberry stains, a questionable poopy diaper, a thrifted basket, Luna’s newest best friend Ducky, and flowers that were quite literally the best smelling flowers I’ve ever smelled.

I let them just be.

POV: You’re photographing an 8-hour wedding and the timeline is more of a + suggestion.
Wedding timelines are SO helpful, but wedding days don’t always follow them perfectly and that’s okay

This timeline said:
✨1:00 getting ready
✨3:30 ceremony
✨4:00 family photos
✨5:20 bride & groom portraits
✨6:00 reception
✨8:15 sunset photos
✨9:00 flash photos & home

What actually happened? A little different.
For example... the ceremony was originally scheduled for 3:30, but it didn’t start till 4pm
And honestly? This is exactly why I don’t panic when a wedding day goes off schedule. We pivot. We rearrange. We communicate. We make things work.
And most importantly, we keep photographing the story as it unfolds.
Because the best wedding photographers aren’t just good at taking pretty photos we’re really good at working under pressure when the timeline goes completely sideways.
So here’s what an 8-hour wedding day actually looked like behind the scenes 👀

Something that I read on the internet this week that I genuinely haven’t been able to stop thinking about it…

“I’ve watched people I love become photographs.”

And maybe it hit me a little harder because I’m a photographer. And a daughter who lost her dad unexpectedly in January. And a photographer and a daughter who was left with hardly any photographs of him.

I spend so much of my life looking through a camera at people in the middle of their ordinary, beautiful lives. The babies who won’t stay that little. The parents whose hands will one day look different. The grandparents who won’t always be there to gather everyone around the table. The couples who don’t realize they’re living through a chapter they’ll someday miss more than they could ever imagine.

We take photographs because we think we’re preserving a moment.

But sometimes I think we’re doing something even bigger than that.

We’re preserving people.
Because one day, someone we love really will become a photograph.

And I think that’s why I’ll never believe and no one can ever make me believe that there’s such a thing as “too many pictures.” 🤍
