Another year of us šŸ§”

When I look at the life weā€™ve built together, Iā€™m so incredibly proud of how far weā€™ve come. So much of what we have today is because of your hard work, determination, and the way youā€™ve always pushed yourself to build a beautiful life for our family.

But more than anything youā€™ve accomplished, Iā€™m most grateful for the man you are. Watching you be the most attentive, present, and loving dad to our kids is one of my favourite things in this life. They are so lucky to have you. And you havenā€™t just been my husband, youā€™ve been my biggest supporter. Youā€™ve believed in my dreams, encouraged me to chase them, and stood beside me through every version of them.

At the heart of it all, youā€™re my best friend. The person I want beside me for the ordinary days, the big moments, the hard seasons, the laughs, the adventures, and everything in between.

I wouldnā€™t want to do this life with anyone else. Iā€™m so proud of the life weā€™ve built, and even more excited for everything still ahead of us.

I havenā€™t posted much online this summer, but that was completely purposefully.

When I started my business almost 5 years ago (FIVE! Wow, just realizing our anniversary is coming up!) I never would have thought that *also* being a social media content creator would be such a huge part of it. Yes, I absolutely LOVE expressing my creativity through curated posts of my images and videos, but social media platforms can sometimes take away the ā€œfunā€ from it. Sharing my photos and seeing how much you all love my work is the best feeling in the world, but trying to be consistent with my online presence was a lot of pressure, and honestly - I was starting to resent having to make a caption 3 times a week šŸ˜‚

I promised myself a well deserved break this summer. A summer with less weddings, less online presence and less saying ā€˜yesā€™ to booking my weekends up (ā€¦didnā€™t quite stay true to that one). With that being said, I also promised myself a summer of more exploring and traveling, more intentional and grounded creativity, more trying new things and taking big risks, and more growth and connection. The work hasnā€™t stopped, but the social media break was much needed! Iā€™ll post a few summer recaps šŸ§”

I only took a few photos this May long weekend trip, and mostly because of what an unexpected and wild trip this wasā€¦a part from that, we all had a great time and everyone is doing okay.
