Railroad Pass, also known as Railway Pass, is a mountain pass north of Whistler and Pemberton, via Railroad Creek, to the uppermost reaches of the Hurley River leading to the old gold mining towns of Bralorne and Gold Bridge.

Railroad Pass gets its name from its potential as a possible route for a railway through the Coast Mountains. The Canadian Pacific Survey went through this area. The pass was investigated in the 1980s as a possible extension route for BC Highway 99 as a back door for the Whistler resort in case of geotechnical emergencies that would isolate the resort (a more southerly route used by Cayoosh Pass was chosen).

A group of peaks on the north side of the pass is called the Railroad Group and includes summit names like Locomotive Mountain, Tender, Caboose, and Handcar Peak.

Kluane Lake, Yukon. One of my favorite locations in all of Canada. One of the local First Nations bands hired me to fully restore 5 photos which were destroyed by water and sun damage. These past Chiefs will once again come to life using the latest in AI technology and Photoshop. This was by far the most challenging photo restoration project I've been asked to do and the client is thrilled with the results. Our local Mount Cheam figures prominently in their culture and I added one of my own images of the mountain, blended in with an entirely new background.

Thanks to the latest AI software I was able to recover this image from the digital trash can. A few years ago I created this image "Above The Fog" and accidentally saved the working document as a 6" high file when reducing its size to display on Facebook. The resolution was extremely poor at that size and I thought all was lost. Today, running it through Topaz Gigapixel AI, then Topaz Photo AI, I was able to bring it back up to 19" x 45" and sharp as a tack with full details. Incredible! Do you have any digital photos you want restored this way? It does an amazing job on people as well.

Think your old photos are beyond restoration? Check out this recent project where the photo was extremely water damaged from being stored in a leaky attic for decades. The client went to several restoration companies and was devastated to find that none of them would even touch this image.
