Hi Friends 🫶
There’s something bittersweet about outgrowing a name that once held so much meaning to you. For the longest time, my photography carried my own name — something deeply personal, familiar, and safe. But over time, I realized my work had become about so much more than just me. It became about connection, transformation, emotion, and the beautiful stories shared between people.
That’s why I’m so excited and honoured to officially introduce my new photography name: Metalmark Photos.
The name “Metalmark” comes from a type of butterfly, and butterflies have always symbolized something deeply meaningful to me — growth, transformation, freedom, resilience, and becoming. In so many ways, photography reflects those same things. Every season of life we walk through changes us, shapes us, and leaves behind moments we never want to forget.
Over the years, photography has brought some of the most incredible people into my life. I’ve had the honour of hearing your stories, witnessing your love, your milestones, your healing, your laughter, your chaos, and the quiet in-between moments that often mean the most. I don’t take that lightly. Being trusted to capture memories that families will hold onto forever is something I carry with so much gratitude.
This rebrand feels like a reflection of not only who I am becoming, but also what I hope my work represents for every person in front of my camera — authenticity, emotion, connection, and the beauty of transformation through every stage of life.
So here’s to new beginnings, to growth, and to continuing to tell your stories in the most honest and meaningful way I can.
