I finally got out to see the Beothuk Interpretation Centre!

It was an amazing experience to take in the Spirit Garden and all the heart felt messages and trinkets people have left for a group of people that are long gone but certainly not forgotten.

The indigenous community holds a special place in my heart. I am fascinated by their cultures and beliefs, their spirituality, their way of life. I think there is a lot to be learned by the people who walked these grounds long before anyone else. As unfortunate as it is to know an entire community of people were wiped off this planet, and even more unfortunate that we did not get to know much about their way of life, I am grateful we know what we do know and that it is displayed in such a beautiful, untouched manner.
