This little gal is turning two, and what better way than to photograph her enjoying her favourite activity, rock throwing and hanging out at the beach. What makes a family session with little ones successful is letting them be them. No performance, no pressure. Just let them do their thing and play/engage with them. When the time is right we will snap some of everyone looking at the camera of course ☺️

Loved that these two went barefoot on the farm for their engagement session. We took these right after a big rain storm and by the end my shoes and socks were soaked right through, BUT on the upside my white sneakers looked literally brand new again. ✨

Being a big sister is a very important job, with occasional snack breaks of course 💕

I always take a little extra time during newborn sessions to include siblings, letting them snuggle in, be silly, and feel like the star of the show too ✨ It makes everything more relaxed, more real and way more fun.

The sweetest moments always happen in between the chaos 💫

I took this photo on K&M’s back porch just as we were coming back inside the house after their first look and portraits. I turned to look back at them, got really excited and was all ”Oh wait! The lighting is so good here”. I gave them a quick prompt (probably something like “make a silly face at each other” and then photographed the laugh that followed). It took less than 30 seconds and often the portraits that happen randomly like this are my fav!

What I guess I’m saying is, if, out of nowhere, your photographer says “the lighting is SO GOOD right here” just trust them and go with it!
