Photos from one of my first weddings:
Photos that meant a lot then but mean so much more now. This summer I was invited to photograph a celebration of life and I can’t really put into words how much this meant for me at this point in my life.
After losing my dad unexpectedly I felt I lost the meaning behind a photograph (personally). I didn’t want to see photos of my dad anymore. I still have a hard time. But I keep one small icon of him on my desk top from MY wedding of him showing off his entire personality to remind me of my why. And if I don’t open up my computer to work on a gallery I tend to lose sight.
After working this memorial, at the same exact place where this wedding took place, I realized or rather REMEMBERED just how important it is for people to have photographs of the people they love being themselves.
Thank you Sam for giving me back my sight 🤍
