Just one of many beautiful species here in Costa Rica. ❤️ The squirrel monkey 🐒✨ is highly social, endlessly curious, and always on the move, these little jungle dynamos live life in fast-forward — chattering, climbing, and keeping tabs on everyone in their troop.

Costa Rica, you adorable show-off. 🌿❤️

👉🏻Trivia time ✨

Hummingbirds don’t just fly — they vibrate through life. And yes, we love those busy little wings. So how many beats per second do you think they produce??

Throw your best guess below… no cheating now. 😉

A nearly inconceivable journey, as these baby Ridley Sea Turtles venture into open water. Birds diving overhead, surf pounding them back into shore — yet we stand together, watching, helpless yet hopeful that we meet again one day. ❤️🐢

Tiny. Misunderstood. Absolutely essential.

Flies like this are part of nature’s clean-up, recycling, and nutrient-delivery system. They help break down organic material, return nutrients back into the soil, and keep ecosystems from quite literally piling up with waste. 💩

They’re not flashy.
They’re not cuddly.
But ecosystems would fall apart without them quietly doing the work nobody else wants.

Weird trivia fact:
👉 Did you know some fly species can taste with their feet? (Yes… they basically “lick” surfaces just by standing on them. Nature is wild.)

❤️HUGE thanks to for sharing the beauty of this tiny world ❤️

So just how fast a shutter speed do you need to capture a Rufous-tailed hummingbird doing this??

Swipe ⬅️ to see a video of this little fella at full speed … as well as the camera settings… cause when that beautiful chaos unfolds without warning, you’ve gotta be fast 💨

This radiant little bee shimmers in golden hues, but even more fascinating is this is one of the few bees in the world adapted to forage in near darkness. 🌙🐝

This is a nocturnal sweat bee (Megalopta sp.), and those oversized eyes… aren’t for show — they allow this tiny pollinator to navigate dense rainforest at dusk and dawn, visiting flowers most others never see.

By working the night shift, Megalopta helps reduce competition and keeps an entirely different layer of the ecosystem in balance. This bee was built for the dark — and our tropical forest depends on it. 🐝🌴

Sometimes conservation isn’t about saving the loud or the obvious…it’s about protecting the unseen.
