Kathleen Higgins got a new Irish dance outfit and wanted some pics of it. After a near death experience with some geese at Sullivan’s Pond here is the result 😂

Some prom Photos I did for Jennifer Pye's daughter, Lauren!

It was very hot, but they made it through the session long sleeves and all.

They looked great!

If you're interested in prom or Grad photos, I am still offering them at a "pay what you can" rate. Send me a message and I will put you on my list :)

A Sneak Peak of some Grad Photos I did for Laura Walsh's daughter, (Hannah) who graduated this year!

I have started to book grad and prom photos in, given the lifting of some covid restrictions. For these photos I made sure to wear a mask , and used my longer lens so I could stand the appropriate distance apart to abide by government regulations.

If you are interested in booking grad or prom photos (to show off those expensive outfits no one got to wear), I am currently offering sessions at a "Pay what you can" rate. These last few months have been hard for people, and I just want people to have great photos to remember these times with their grads at least.

If you've already been in touch with me about getting photos done, I will be contacting you to organize your session within the next week!

A very cool find on some backroads.

Throwback to a prom I did a few years ago 🙂

Right now I’ve got “pay what you can” prom photos as a special.

Hit me up if you know someone missing their prom this year!

Don’t want those special outfits to go to waste.

What was my thought process for these self-portraits?

In the midst of a pandemic that has taken 55 lives, the worst mass shooting in Canadian history turned this province upside down. We lost members of the armed forces to a helicopter crash, and just learned of the death of another Nova Scotian in the Snow Birds crash today.

I wanted these self-portraits to represent how it feels to be a Nova Scotian right now.

The crown represents the pride we have for our province, and our strength as a people, and the black veil represents the stress and loss we have all been feeling these last two months that lays over top of us all.

The thing about veils though, is that you can see through them, and we will see better days soon.

We Nova Scotians will look back at this time in history and remember how hard it was; we will remember that when times got hard, our communities got stronger, and came together. We will remember that we are strong. We will remember that we are Nova Scotians.

I know my highland dance family must be very disappointed that all the things we usually have to look forward to in the summer (Highland games, championships) May not be going ahead, or are up in the air right now.

These times are hard, and what amazes me is how tight-knit our dance community is. In these difficult days we all know we have people to talk to, to virtually dance with, and that pillar of support is something we should be proud of ❤️

To all those dancers out there who miss seeing their friends, miss seeing their teachers in class. Take comfort knowing this will not be forever, and dance anywhere you can ❤️.

It’s a sad day in Nova Scotia.

Our little province saw so much heartbreak today.

My heart aches for all the people who were senselessly murdered today in our little province, and that men and women in the RCMP who were doing their job to protect us, lost their lives or were injured.

Today Nova Scotia declared a state of emergency.

People are scared, and worried about their financial futures. Worried about the spread of COVID-19, and keeping themselves and their families safe. Life is on hold. We have no idea how long this pandemic will have control of our country, and things are seeming pretty scary right now.

What are businesses in Kentville and Coldbrook doing? Writing messages of comfort and compassion on their signs.

I am proud to be a part of this community ❤️
