I have not been on top of my Instagram game lately. Or my business in general. Moving across the country, and starting part-time homeschool has changed my work life a lot, not to mention Tony having to take multiple long work trips. I am trying to give myself grace and reminding myself that it’s ok to take some time. To reassess, to focus on my family, to adjust to so much new. Thanks for following along anyway, and for supporting me in my journey. I promise you haven’t seen the last of me !⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Happy birthday to my little Soren Ivy!

I’m so proud of my birthday girl. Five years old and I’m already learning things from her! She’s the kind of kid that genuinely likes people. Wherever we go, she brightens people’s day with her confident smiles and conversation. She is silly and goofy like her big sister, and makes me laugh regularly. This year she has really gotten into drawing and colouring and can sit down with this for a good hour. She loves learning about animals and letters, and often teaches me animals facts. She has been loving forest preschool this year, enjoys the outdoors, and playing with friends. She also loves baking and helped me make her own birthday cupcakes 🧁. I’m obsessed with her. The end.

It's Tony's BIG 40 today. This guy is for me. He is a creative genius. From songwriting to business development plans, his web-like brain is able to come up with things I can only admire. He's a devoted husband, silly and adoring dad, deep-thinking, cuddly human being. His life motto is "Everything is learnable", and he lives in that belief daily. He devours books and podcasts, insatiable in his search for knowledge and self-growth, and works hard to put healthy practices in place in his day-to-day. When he gets knocked down, he gets over himself (eventually), and uses it as an opportunity to learn. I admire him and am proud to be his wife. Happy Birthday ! Here’s to another 40 (but please don’t grow old-man dreadlocks).

It was fun to change things up and shoot in some urban locations for this session. This pink wall was part of an old factory and had some bright blue a couple feet away. Do you prefer natural or urban settings for your photos ?

Oh hey! 🙋🏼‍♀️ got a few new headshots with our family session back in the fall with the talented . Can I just say - taking photos is so much easier than being in them! It’s a good reminder to know how awkward my clients likely feel during our sessions .
