Getting married? Make sure these items are ready on your wedding day ⬇️💍✨
One of my favourite ways to begin a wedding day is by photographing all the little details that helped bring your vision together. These images set the tone for your entire gallery and capture the thoughtful pieces you spent months choosing.
To make this part of the day smooth and stress-free, I always recommend setting a few items aside for your photographer and/or videographer before the day begins.
Some of my favourite wedding details to photograph include:
✨ Your rings (engagement ring + both wedding bands)
✨ Wedding dress & veil (on a pretty hanger, not wire)
✨ Bridal details (shoes, perfume, jewelry, clutch)
✨ Groom details (shoes, cologne, tie or bow tie, cuff links, suspenders)
✨ Invitations, stationery & vow books
✨ Heirlooms or sentimental keepsakes
✨ Florals or a few loose blooms from your bouquet
If you want to take your detail photos to the next level, you can also include a few extra styling touches like:
✨ Old wedding photos from your parents or grandparents
✨ A ribbon or fabric that matches your wedding colours
✨ Fresh fruit that complements your colour palette (citrus, cherries, figs, etc.)
✨ A beautiful ring box, tray or vintage dishes
✨ Ci**rs (and fancy lighter) for the groom
✨ A newspaper from your wedding day
✨ A favourite whiskey, champagne, or meaningful bottle of booze
These little additions add so much personality and storytelling to your wedding gallery and make your detail photos feel even more unique to your day. ✨
Having everything ready before I arrive allows me to start the morning creating beautiful, intentional flatlays while you’re relaxing, getting pampered, and soaking in the excitement of the day. Your only job that morning is to sit back, get pampered, and enjoy every moment. I’ll take care of the rest! 📷☺️
