We are a photography team of two that have known one another for over 10 years. We have backgrounds in contemporary art and use what we gained in school to ensure our images are artistic, unique and ultimately one-of-a-kind. We aim to produce images that tell a story that will allow each and every client to relive their day for years to come. We don’t believe in over produced/staged images, but instead aim to capture real love and candid memories that we know will stand the test of time.

A love letter to our clients and our loved ones:

In May of 2014, somewhere on a hillside on the Isle of Skye, two daydreamers had a conversation that would change their lives forever.

We talked about how fun it might be to build something together. A little business where we could photograph weddings, travel to beautiful places, meet incredible people, and create a life centered around connection and storytelling.

Two years later, in May of 2016, Isle + Oak officially became Facebook Official. We had no business plan. No website. No roadmap. No idea what we were doing.

Just a name, a logo we loved, and a dream.

What happened next is something we never could have imagined.

That tiny idea quickly became something much bigger than either of us. It gave us clarity. It gave us purpose. It showed us the kind of life we wanted to build. So we took a leap.

We left our jobs, poured every ounce of energy we had into this dream, and trusted that somehow it would all work out. Somehow it has.

Today, May 31, 2026, marks 10 years of Isle + Oak.

Ten years of adventures. Ten years of airports, road trips, mountaintops, dance floors, happy tears, and unforgettable stories.

Ten years of being invited into some of the most meaningful moments of people’s lives and having the privilege of preserving them through our art.

Ten years of building something that fills us with more pride and gratitude than we could ever put into words.

To every client who trusted us, every friend who encouraged us, every family member who supported us, every person who opened their home to us, celebrated our wins, lifted us up through challenges, or simply believed in us when this was nothing more than a pipe dream: Thank you.

You have shaped this journey more than you’ll ever know.

What started as a conversation on a hillside became a life beyond anything we could have imagined. And every step of that journey has been possible because of the people we’ve met along the way.

Ten years later, we still wake up grateful that we get to do this.

Somewhere on a hillside on the Isle of Skye, we made the best decision of our lives.
