Following up on my previous post showing the extent of the damage to the Mile 14.0 trestle on the E&N's Port Alberni Sub this set shows the mile 13.7 & 13.8 trestles which are in significantly worse shape. 13.6 is near non existent with just the rails hanging, and the 13. 7 being a chared pile of lumber.

My next set of photo's will include the damage to the Mile 14.6 trestle (visible from Hwy 4), and other damage to the corridor.

Here is a video by me showing the full extent of the damage: https://youtu.be/wPsT2pyJf7E

The Esquimalt and Nanaimo Railway's Port Alberni Subdivisions mile 14.0 trestle which was significantly affected by the recent Wesley Ridge wildfire. Prior to the fire this trestle was in the best shape of all the trestles along the Port Alberni Sub, and now it is in the second worst shape behind the mile 13.8 trestle which was completely wiped out by the fire.

Photos of the other two affected trestles to be posted soon along with a couple of videos.

Following up on my post of the first of the Englewood Railway's dual logging road and railway bridges Noomas Creek here is the second, the Storey Creek Bridge at mile 16.5 of the Nimpkish Subdivision. This bridge in addition to being dual use also features a curve making it perhaps the most interesting bridge along the railway.

The Englewood Railway on Northern Vancouver Island had four road and rail bridges along it's mainline, today we look at the first over Noomas Creek alongside Nimpkish Lake at mile 14.2 of the Nimpkish Subdivision. Today all four bridges still maintain there rails, leaving a rare glimpse at what was.

At the Woss Heritage Park on a beautiful late December day flying above Canadian Forest Products 113 and 303. The park started out in 2014 with the moving of the 113 to the site followed by the building of a gazebo showcasing the rich railway and logging history in the Nimpkish Valley and in the early 2020's diesel locomotive No. 303 the last remaining CANFOR SW1200RS was moved to the site along with a skeleton car and the last remaining CANFOR caboose.
