From image-maker, Len Waddell of Wells Photographic Design, enjoy this updated approach to “The Merry Widow”. The comic operetta of the same name was written by Hungarian composer, Franz Lehár, and premiered in Vienna in 1905. This image received a Merit score in the Portrait Class of our 2019 National Image Salon. Well done, Len!

The original Grimm brothers were a duo, most famous for collecting and publishing 19th century folklore. In this Group Portrait, “The Brothers Grimm” are a trio, and most likely receiving their name as a result of their grim expressions! Congratulations to image-maker Len Waddell of Wells Photographic Design for this striking image, Accepted for exhibition in our 2019 National Image Salon.

It's been a busy week with lots of prom portraits. The rain has held off until now - Jazmine Beaulac and Will are coming in this evening for our Model Call on our newest backgrounds. They both have roofs so the session is on! We'll post some images this week.

Great day yesterday! We were at Mt. Baker with the photography classes. Grade 11 students learned about how composition creates a great image and grade 12 learned about lighting. They have an incredible teacher who still operates a black and white darkroom at the school. Darkrooms are almost non-existent so they are really lucky to get to experience this.

This week we photographed Kinnon Smith for her University grad portraits. We have the gowns, mortar boards (that's the cap) and hoods (those are the colored bands that go around your neck) for most universities in Canada. Give us a call to book a session if you missed getting yours done.
