Looking forward to being back in the village of Gjógv in the Faroe Islands next month with OFFBEAT!

Have you ever witnessed a lunar rainbow (also called a moonbow)? This one caught me off guard as I went to take an astro shot of the town one evening. It's the only time I've ever witnessed one and I actually went back to the hotel and googled it because I'd never even heard of them.

Around this time a couple of years ago I was headed to Namibia for a once in a lifetime trip. An incredibly diverse country, Namibia hosts many unique areas to explore. One of such is Deadvlei.

Deadvlei, (translated to "dead marsh"), was once fed by the Tsauchab River, until shifting dunes cut off the water source roughly 900 years ago. These camel thorn trees died but didn’t decompose in the extremely dry climate, leaving them petrified in the desert. Walking through the dunes and seeing this area for the first time felt like walking onto a movie set. The way the light reflected off the dunes above the clay pan gave everything a painterly feeling.

Couple spots left for the Faroes in October!

The Faroe Islands are a world of towering sea cliffs, winding mountain roads, waterfalls that tumble straight into the ocean, and tiny villages that seem untouched by time.

It's a place where the weather changes in an instant, the light is constantly evolving, and every turn reveals another scene you'll want to capture, that's why it's one of our favourite places to visit and photograph!

We have a few last minute spaces available for our trip this October, we'd love to have you there!

Getting to see a humpback lunge feed was such a highlight the other day while out on the water with Campbell River Whale Watching! It's so great to see such a large return of these beautiful creatures to our waters.

I just spent 9 days with the crew at BC Bike Race documenting the 20th anniversary of this legendary race.

My job was to try and capture every rider, every day...which was a challenge with about 850 riders registered!

A huge shout out to all of the media crew who worked tirelessly around the clock to get it all done. Hard things are made easier with a great team.

Beautiful BC never disappoints! Black bears foraging the shoreline, sinuous arbutus trees, and waterfalls plummeting into the ocean...what could be better? Here are a few images from a stunning day out on the water with Campbell River Whale Watching.
