Getting to see a humpback lunge feed was such a highlight the other day while out on the water with Campbell River Whale Watching! It's so great to see such a large return of these beautiful creatures to our waters.

*These images were photographed using a telephoto lens and are in accordance with British Columbia wildlife viewing guidelines and marine mammal approach-distance regulations.

I just spent 9 days with the crew at BC Bike Race documenting the 20th anniversary of this legendary race.

My job was to try and capture every rider, every day...which was a challenge with about 850 riders registered!

A huge shout out to all of the media crew who worked tirelessly around the clock to get it all done. Hard things are made easier with a great team.

Beautiful BC never disappoints! Black bears foraging the shoreline, sinuous arbutus trees, and waterfalls plummeting into the ocean...what could be better? Here are a few images from a stunning day out on the water with Campbell River Whale Watching.

A few photos from a beautiful day out on the water with Campbell River Whale Watching & Adventure Tours last week.

This day was extra special because I got to bring my sister on her first whale watching tour, and we were lucky enough to see a pod of transients just north of Campbell River.

A big thank you to Tyler and the team for having us out.

"Each spring along the coast of Vancouver Island, herring gather in huge numbers to spawn in shallow waters, turning the ocean a milky turquoise. This short-lived event creates a surge of food that draws in eagles and other wildlife in an intense feeding frenzy" said Sara.

I’ll be co-leading this amazing OFFBEAT landscape photography trip with the super talented Wayne Simpson October 22–27, 2026.

The Faroe Islands are one of my favourite places in the world. They’re raw, rugged and always provide incredible photographic opportunities. Think dramatic cliffs plunging into the ocean, constantly shifting weather, and landscapes that feel wild and untouched. And there's sheep...plenty of sheep!

Over the course of the trip we’ll explore some of the islands’ most spectacular locations, spend a lot of time in the field, and work with the conditions to create unique images and memories. With a small group and plenty of hands-on guidance, there will be lots of opportunities to refine compositions, talk through creative approaches, and make the most of whatever the Faroese weather throws at us.

If you’ve ever wanted to photograph this incredible part of the world, we'd love to have you along.
