Alyssa and Gabrielle’s engagement session at the in Ottawa was so beyond perfect! From the most beautiful architecture to the sweetest moments between these two, every second felt straight out of a movie ✨ These two were an absolute JOY to photograph and I already cannot wait for their wedding day!! 🤍

Florals matter WAY more than most couples think when it comes to your photos!

Yes, they’re gorgeous in person, but they do a LOT more than just get carried around all day by a bride and bridesmaids!

They add texture, colour, and so much beauty! Good florals pull everything together and make your whole day look magazine-worthy.

Real flowers and high-end faux florals photograph so beautifully and give you that soft, romantic feel everyone loves.

Kate and Rob’s Elm Hurst wedding at was the definition of elegant, romantic, fairytale MAGIC!!! ✨
The day started warm and humid with soft drizzle and overcast skies. And then… just after their ceremony ended… the sun came out!!

We were gifted the DREAMIEST golden glow for their Just Married portraits!!! It was one of those moments where you just look at the sky and think, okay wow, this is meant to be!!

I so loved Kate and Rob’s wedding day 🥹 And I’m already looking forward to another amazing year of weddings like theirs!!

I once photographed getting ready photos in a storage closet…. 🫣

The venue was new to weddings at the time and the only space they had for the bridal party to get ready was in their storage room. Wild, right?

If you want beautiful photos with stunning natural light of you and your bridal party getting ready (like the ones above!), then keep reading for getting ready location tips!

1. Choose a space that’s large enough for everyone to get ready comfortably, including the hair & makeup team, photographer, and videographer. It’s no fun tripping over each other, especially with everyone’s personal belongings in the way.

2. Choose a space that has lots of window light. That’s how we are able to achieve beautiful portraits when you’re getting ready!

3. Keep your getting ready space clean & tidy as much as you can! Your getting ready photo time may be cut short if we spend too much time moving things out of the way.

Renting a house or apartment is a great idea if your venue does not have an ideal getting ready suite! While it’s definitely not required, having a clean, bright, well-lit environment can make the beginning of your wedding day feel so much better!

THE DUNNS 9.20.2025 ✨

When Amy and Jesse reached out to me last year, I instantly knew they were going to become friends!

Their wedding day was full of laughter, happy tears, and sooo much love 💕

Amy and Jesse hold the Otterville area close to their hearts so it made so much sense to emulate that in their wedding gallery!

From their first look & wedding party portraits at the Otterville Mill, and Mr. and Mrs. portraits at the iconic Coal Line, and then ceremony & reception at , theirs was truly a classic Otterville wedding day!
