When you think of the years you've had with a partner it's easy to forget how much you've done with them. How much you've accomplished, laughed, cried, and enjoyed. It's not how much money you've spent, or how much they are inconveniencing you, it is how much you poured your heart into them!
This is Shelby and Lizzie, Shelby has owned Lizzie for most of Lizzie's life. The one thing that has stuck with me with this shoot is the bond they have for one another. Lizzie did anything for Shelby, we did the photoshoot when it was extremely windy and Lizzie was just happy to exist next to her. Blanket on, okay, blanket off okay, snacks? Okay! Woods, ba****ck, side pass, trot why not! Also can't forget about Phebe the turkey! The partnership was incredible to see even if it was just posing in front of the camera 🫶
As a photographer, we want ears up, makes the horse happier and focused. With Lizzie she wasn't your typical noise and the ears go up. It was make a noise and the ears go airplane or up and down. So that's what we took, the characteristics of that horse, Lizzie.
