It’s been an amazing year filled with more smiles, laughter and songs than we could have imagined. As 2025 draws to a close, I’d like to take a moment to extend our gratitude for the amazing schools that have requested our services. We are so very grateful for your continued partnership, and for the opportunity to capture your students’ amazing memories.

2026 is our tenth anniversary of school photos, and we are so excited to see what the year has in store; in an interesting twist of fate, we are 99% booked through December. We never dreamed that life would take this path, and are so truly touched by every student we meet.

As my school photography business has grown, I’ve stepped away from family photography and mini sessions. It’s been years since I’ve offered Christmas sessions.

Last night was an exception. Upon hearing that one of my long-term clients was recently diagnosed with leukaemia, we held a special mini session fundraiser for her friends and family…specifically to help support her family as she undergoes treatment at BCCH.

It was an amazing night full of dozens of supporters cheering on Caitlyn in her fight. While she wasn’t physically with us, we have no doubt her whole family was there in spirit. The Delta Fire Department donated use of the beautiful Sunbury Hall as well as a plethora of snacks and drinks for fundraiser participants.

…and if we offer this fundraiser next year, my goal is to have Caitlyn there with us, posing alongside her dear lacrosse teammates for adorably fun poses like these.

Get well, Caitlyn! We are cheering you on! ❤️❤️❤️

Introducing our new teammate, Meikan.

Meikan was originally born in Matsuyama, Ehime, Japan, and came to us to fulfill the role of master feline lap warmer and editing assistant. His name? It’s a play on the spelling of his original rescue name combined with the name of the mandarin oranges that famously call Ehime home.

Less than 24 hours after arriving in Canada, Meikan has proven that he is up for the job and willing to handle it with grace.

Welcome to the team, Meikan. We love you so much and are thankful you chose to join our team. ❤️

Happy September, everyone!

How was your summer? I hope that it was full of fun memories and sunshine.

On our end, after a crazy summer full of more adventures than our family could count - those are our two kids in the bottom right of this picture - we're pleased to be getting back into the swing of things. Next week is our first full week of schools for the 2025-2026 season!

We're also pleased to offer a variety of make-up dates out of our Tsawwassen studio this autumn. These dates are perfect for kids who have missed photo day, siblings of those we photograph at our partner schools, or for anyone looking for some amazing and authentic school photos.

There are no session fees for these sessions, and all prints, digitals and packages are available for purchase. Siblings welcome!

Happy August! I hope your summer has been fulfilling and wonderful.

On Monday, the studio will be resuming full customer service inquiries and assistance, followed by photo services starting up in mid September for the autumn season. We are so excited to work with everyone once again.

When you blink, you find that 8 years has passed, and elementary school is already in the rearview mirror.

To the families of my graduating preschool buddies - enjoy every moment. It passes by so very, very fast.

Happy Tuesday!

A quick update that the studio will be closed tomorrow, reopening on Thursday. After eight years of being an Eagle, our son graduates tomorrow. ❤️❤️❤️

I arrived to work this morning and saw this scene waiting for me. Thinking it was cute, I snapped a quick pic on my phone.

It was only when I looked at the pic that I realized the poignancy.

Today is my last lower mainland session for the 2024-2025 school year. Later this week I head to Victoria for grad photos at our amazing partner schools there, and once those are done, photo sessions for this school year are over.

This is the last set of Vancouver gowns that will be standing on guard first thing in the morning for their 2025 grad photo day. After working with roughly 90 schools and over 5000 students this school year, the hard work, smiles and laughter will transition to summer holiday late this week. Year after year, it never ceases to amaze me how sad I am winding up the photo season.

From Whistler to White Rock and Chilliwack to Victoria, this year has been full of more smiles, preschool jokes and giggles than I ever thought possible. We now have two amazing photographers who have joined me on staff, and coupled with our customer service team, editors and printing partner, I’m grateful every day for the amazing community we have built.

Today’s school is a long-time partner, having been with us for six years now. It’s such a special way to wind up the school year, seeing kiddos I’ve known for years and teachers/staff I’ve bonded with for so many years. I’m truly touched to photograph them yet again.

The upcoming 2025-2026 school year promises to start off with a bang - we are 97% booked for the entire school year running through June! (A select few dates remain with my amazing team - new schools, please feel free to contact me for details.)

We can’t wait to see so many beloved clients again next year. In the interim, I can’t express enough gratitude for the amazing schools, families and children who continue to support our Vancouver-based Canadian small business and have helped it flourish beyond my wildest dreams.
