Is it just me that is seeing through all this? It’s right in our face always has been in every way. The fire, the insurance, the rebuilding, mortgages, taxes, the lies, and in plain site telling us fyi we are shorthanded. Now that Guardians of the North came out I’m sure 100% they didn’t tell it as it was. Every news article I’ve watched I’ve seen how it was manipulated. From fireman stopping the fight due to not getting paid etc. now that this show is out I hope we come together and not let this be to truth to the world or we don’t stand a chance.

Grief doesn’t arrive loudly…
it settles in quietly,
like a shadow that forgets to leave.

It changes you—
not all at once,
not in ways the world can easily see—
but in the soft, permanent shifts
no one else notices.

In the way you smile
a little more carefully now.

In the way certain words
feel heavier than they used to.

In the way your heart
learns to carry both love and loss
in the same fragile space.

And though people say
time will make it easier—

what they don’t say is this:

you don’t become who you were again.

You become someone new.

Someone who knows
how deeply love can root itself
into a soul—
and how even when everything else changes,
that love…
never really leaves.

So yes, grief changes you—
but not just by what it takes…

also by what it proves:

that you loved
with a depth
that even forever

Bailey proudly takes home Award of Excellence for Kitsoo Quarry Project. With strong environmental stewardship, Indigenous leadership, and effective operational systems, the project exemplified community-led infrastructure development that balances economic viability, cultural values, and long-term sustainability for the Kitasoo Xai’xais Nation.

She also brings home the Award of Merit for the Green Hydrogen Production at Chute Lake. The Study fosters self-governance and energy independence, while creating meaningful capacity building opportunities for the Gitga'at First Nation.

Bailey, you’ve taken your talent and used it in a way that honors and protects the land, and that makes me prouder than I can put into words. Congratulations, and forever proud of you.
