Since moving to the Maritimes, one thing I’ve learned is to rely on my little community and today that meant asking for help from a fellow wedding vendor, , when it unexpectedly rained significantly harder than the weather called for. The owner of Blossom Grove Barn has always gone above and beyond as a service provider, and today was no different. I’m truly grateful for the community we have here, amazing vendors like them make all the difference!

Family sessions with young kids are rarely quiet, perfectly posed, or predictable… and honestly? That’s kind of the magic of them.

This session with Jenny and her beautiful family was chaotic in the best way — golden sunset light, pink blooms, little moments unfolding faster than we could plan for, and kids being exactly who they’re meant to be.

When little ones are involved, posing usually gets thrown out the window pretty quickly. Instead, we roll with what we’re given. We follow their lead, focus on connection over perfection, stay present, and trust the process.

Because the perfectly imperfect moments? Those are almost always the ones you’ll want to remember most.

And somehow, it always works out.

April & Matt said their vows on a cliff overlooking the Northumberland Strait in Pugwash, with the waves behind them and the breeze catching every detail—the veil, the dress, even the quiet moments in between.

It wasn’t perfect in the traditional sense…
it was better.

Wind in her hair, laughter mid-ceremony, him fixing her dress without being asked—
