Look at the sidelines. 📸

At the Women’s Figure Skating Short Program at , history is being made on the ice. Yet behind the cameras, the gender gap in sports photography remains difficult to ignore.

Approximately 62% of sports photographers are men, and many women in the field report not being taken as seriously as their male counterparts or receiving the same opportunities to cover defining moments.

Who stands behind the lens shapes the stories the world sees. When representation is limited behind the camera, coverage of women’s sports can lack depth and perspective. Women’s sports already receive less media attention overall, and unequal representation in coverage continues to reinforce that disparity.

When more women are behind the camera, female athletes are captured with greater authenticity and visibility. Sports needs more women behind the camera. Period.

I close up the studio tomorrow afternoon, so if anyone is looking for a fabulous last minute gift for their loved one or friend, please reach out. Hello all! It's been quite a while since I've posted. There's so much to share about what I've been up to. Please stay tuned for a special spring promo and a studio tour.

I am much more limited with photography commissions this year. I'll explain why in the coming weeks, but am please requesting that you give yourself plenty of time to book your newborn photoshoot. Thank you everyone. 🙏 This year’s Holiday Mini Sessions have been SOLD OUT again, before being released to the public. Thank you so much for your continued support! 🎄👏

How is that possible? Because I send the info to my email list first (Edgewood Insiders) who quickly scooped up the available time slots. I’m so sorry to those who may have missed out. With a fully booked 2023 newborn schedule — unfortunately, I will not be creating a waitlist or adding more dates for holiday minis this year.
