I cherish photos and the memories from them. I lost 35% of the vision in my prominent eye in 2017, due to a partially detached retina. It takes longer for me to focus on the subject, but I appreciate what

I see so much more now. I love to photograph nature, action and people. It's a passion I've had since I held my first 110 Kodak Instamatic camera when I was 12.

Photography is a skill that’s becoming more and more challenging. Photographers are artists and the idea of handing over creative decisions to an algorithm feels like a total betrayal of the craft. The most distinguished photography agencies around the globe have banned the use of AI. A true photographer can snap a picture that requires little, if any manipulation. Simple edits such as cropping, adjusting brightness and contrast are usually acceptable. Heavy alterations using any program are frowned upon. Keep it real and keep smiling! *this goes for music and other arts too.

I had the great pleasure of being invited back to Quiet Earth last evening to photograph again. This was a special occasion, it was their first “Open Mike Night” and I’m sure it won’t be their last. Brent Jones and his family open their wonderful space to host local talent and give back so much to our community. We are blessed to have so much amazing talent in our area. These are a few cell phone shots, my camera shots will be posted here later today. Keep Quiet Earth on your radar and be sure to catch some shows this year.
