3 LIGHT TRICKS FOR SHOOTING SUBJECTS >📸😃

1. USE A BROAD LIGHT SOURCE - The broader the light source, the softer the light coming out of it. A broad light source casts fewer shadows and suppresses the texture of the subject.

2. PLACE YOUR LIGHT CLOSE TO YOUR SUBJECT - The farther the light source, the harder the light falling on your subject is.

3. USE FRONT-LIGHTING JUDICIOUSLY - Front-lighting is known to suppress the texture of your foreground, thereby de-emphasizing it. Therefore, front-lighting might be good for shooting portraits where it will help you to cover-up scars and blemishes on your subject’s face.

There are several things you can do to prepare for your photo session and make it even better. Yes, a lot relies on your photographer’s skills and abilities. But a tremendous amount also comes down to your preparation for your portrait session.

1. Pick Out Your Clothes Early
2. Practice Hair & Makeup
3. Gather Your Props
4. Eat, Drink, and Rest
5. Bring The Necessities
6. Get On The Same Page As Your Photographer
7. Pre-Plan Locations
8. Have a Back-Up Plan
9. Know What Happens After the Shoot

Today was a great day to shoot, it’s crazy to me how it’s December yet the weather is so mild.. climate change is real 🥺 despite that, it was a beautiful day.
