Scenic INK Images I have been using my father’s chair that sat at the end of our harvest table to photograph.

I am gently walking the land with this chair without spoiling the view. Creating a beautiful story of the land by recreating my childhood memories as a farm kid.

I rolled down my window with excitement! My first conversation with a bear. As its nose sniffed the air and its eyes met with mine we had a brief conversation. I thanked it for its time posing for me. Enjoy

My photograph titled, A Spiritual Encounter is headed to the Harry Oaks Museum in Kirkland Lake to the Art of Birds juried exhibition. I am always humbled when my work with my dad’s chair gets picked for a show. He would shake his head and laugh! Juried show opens June 13th.

A beautiful visit to a favourite old farm spot with the Harvest Chair. As the fields are being sowed all around me, I am lying in the tall grass photographing this magnificent old tree with a beautiful old traditional wool hunter’s coat. All these elements come together to create a story. Nostalgia is a beautiful thing because memories that we love are worth thinking about! Do you have a beautiful memory of a favourite place? A day for taking a drive under the clouds. The sunburst and rain clouds are so defined. The land is taking shape with crops being planted. The trees are filling up with shades of green. Spring is a wonderful time of year!!

Headed out to a favourite spot on the land. The farmhouse is long gone and all that remains is this magnificent crabapple tree. It has one dead branch that I am sure to trim. The rest has buds starting. I cannot wait to see it’s full blossoms. The Harvest chair has got to go for a visit. Even an old chair will be happy to be back at a beloved spot. My heart was overflowing with excitement because it survived another hard winter. It’s the little things that bring us great joy!
The last slide has two of my photographs 12x16 inches with the tree in full bloom. The cost for each canvas is $50 + shipping.
