A Message from Alicia Marie Photography
To our valued clients, friends, family, and supporters,
We wanted to provide an update regarding Alicia Marie Photography and let everyone know that we will be taking a temporary break while I focus on recovery.
In the early hours of Thursday morning, I underwent emergency life-saving surgery after doctors discovered that severe diverticulitis had caused a perforation in my colon. The perforation allowed bacteria to spread throughout my abdomen, creating a very serious and potentially life-threatening situation.
As a result, surgeons had to remove a significant portion of my colon, and I now have a colostomy bag that I will likely have for at least 6 months to a year, possibly longer. While I am incredibly grateful to be here and on the road to recovery, it is clear that healing needs to be my priority right now.
Because of this, Alicia Marie Photography will be putting all new bookings, sessions, and projects on hold for the foreseeable future.
For our existing clients, please know that we are currently reviewing our upcoming commitments. We have a small number of weddings already booked, and we will be working through how best to fulfill those commitments while ensuring my recovery remains the priority.
If you are currently waiting for edits from me—including our wedding clients whose galleries are still in progress—please know that your photos will be completed. However, turnaround times will be longer than originally anticipated as I recover from this major surgery. We kindly ask for your patience, understanding, and grace during this time.
We are incredibly thankful for the support, encouragement, and kindness we have already received. It means more to us than words can express.
