Don’t get me wrong, I love black. I live in black. But I also love the way colour photographs and shows a pop of personality. When I plan a branding session with my clients, I am looking for outfits that will flatter my client, match their brand and photograph well.

What's the difference between headshots and branding photos?

Headshots are usually chest up on a simple backdrop. They are meant to put a face to the name. However, branding photos take a headshot to another level. They show PERSONALITY. They are meant to put a face to the name AND tell a story.
These images were taken yesterday with Vic as part of a branding session. And if you have ever met Vic, he has personality! So it was really important to capture images that really let his personality shine through!

The best compliment I get as a photographer is, “Wow! You really captured her!” I take pride in people noting that their branding photos capture who they are. It’s so important so that your client can get to know you even before you meet. Think of it as a warm handshake before even meeting.

Working with InMotion has been so rewarding. They fund programs to reduce the barriers to be active and participate in recreation/sport.

I have been visiting different programs they help fund. Here’s a few pictures from the Zumba Gold class at Sage. I want to be able to shimmy and shake like them when I’m 70.
