🌾 MISS MAY — Trase 💜

With over 15 years of experience, Trase is a certified equestrian coach, trainer, farmer, and skilled equipment operator. Both in and out of the saddle, she is a force to be reckoned with. Known for her strength, expertise, and determination. Trase’s passion and versatility inspire those around her to push boundaries and strive for excellence in every endeavor.

Rooted in hard work, creativity, and authenticity, she represents the kind of woman who can lead with grit while still embracing softness, artistry, and femininity.

🔨 What inspired you to get into construction/your trade?

I’ve always been drawn to hands-on work and building things from the ground up. I grew up on an active equine and dairy farm, loving animals, the outdoors, and working hard, so trades and farming just felt natural. I love being able to create something real — whether that’s training or helping animals, fixing equipment, or building a space where people can learn and grow.

💛 What’s one thing you love about your job?

I love the freedom and purpose it gives me. Every day is different, and I get to work with animals, teach humans, grow with kids and create opportunities for people to feel confident and connected. There’s something really fulfilling about seeing the direct result of your hard work and I LOVE IT!

⚡ What’s a common misconception about tradeswomen that you wish people understood?

That strength and femininity can’t coexist. Women in trades or agriculture are often underestimated.. Being capable, tough, and knowledgeable doesn’t take away from being soft, creative, or feminine. We can be both and we are both.

📸 How did it feel to step into a bold, fun side of yourself for the shoot?

Honestly, it felt empowering. As women and mom in physically demanding jobs, we’re often in work mode — dirty boots, long days, always pushing forward. It felt good to pause and embrace that fire side of myself that’s playful, confident, and expressive.

🌸 How do you balance the strength of your trade with embracing your femininity?

To me, they go hand in hand. My strength comes from knowing who I am and what I’m capable of. I can work hard, handle tough situations, and still love feeling beautiful, creative, and feminine. One doesn’t cancel out the other.

🔥 What makes you feel the most powerful—on and off the job?

On the job, it’s overcoming challenges and proving to myself that I can figure things out. Off the job, it’s building the life I’ve always wanted — creating something meaningful for my family, my animals, and my community. I feel magic, and that makes me feel powerful.

🛠️ What advice would you give to women entering male-dominated industries?

Don’t shrink yourself to make other people comfortable. You don’t need to prove you belong — you already do. Learn everything you can. Take what resonates, leave what does not. Trust yourself, and remember that confidence comes from doing, not waiting until you feel ready.

🎶 What’s your go-to hype song or confidence boost?

My hype song is Remember The Name by Fort Minor.
My confidence boost is reminding myself how far I’ve already come. When life gets hard, I think about everything I’ve built through grit and determination, that’s what fires me up!

💌 If you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be?

Trust your gut sooner. Stop doubting yourself and worrying about what people think. The things that make you different are going to be the same things that make you successful. Everything is perception.

✨ What’s one fun fact about you that people might not expect?

A lot of people might not expect that behind all the farm work and tough days, I’m also deeply creative — I love Art & creating projects, painting, drawing, crafting anddddd I’m Clairaudient.

🌟 SheWorks Feature: Miss February – Karma Kreye 🌟

25 years deep. Still standing. Still skilled. Still unshaken. 🔥

Karma Kreye didn’t stumble into construction — she chose it. After time in the bar scene and office life, she asked herself a simple question: What can I do?

Her answer? Build buildings.

From loving the smell of fresh lumber to completing her pre-construction course, that decision turned into a 25-year career built on knowledge, grit, confidence, and self-respect. She didn’t ask for a seat. She earned her ladder.

✨ A little late — but absolutely not one we were going to miss.

25 years in the trades deserves its moment.

Karma represents the foundation of SheWorks: skill over stereotype, integrity over shortcuts, and building your own name.

🌟 SheWorks Feature: Miss January- Jenny! 🌟

(Starting the year strong with a woman who perfectly embodies growth, grit, confidence, and adventure ✨)

Jenny is a tradeswoman who brings curiosity, skill, and heart into everything she does. What began as simply needing a job turned into a career rooted in constant learning, creativity, and balance. She thrives in hands-on work, problem-solving, and the freedom the trades give her to live a full life — one that includes travel, family, friends, and self-expression.

She represents exactly what SheWorks stands for: capability, confidence, and owning every part of who you are.

Q&A

Q: What inspired you to get into construction/your trade?
👉 “What got me working in the trades was honestly just needing a job but also just wanting a job where I could constantly learn and grow getting to use my hands and skills to be creative while having the work life balance with travel, family and friends.”

Q: What’s one thing you love about your job?
👉 “I love the diversity of the job, always having new tasks and challenges, problem solving. I love learning new things. You get to meet great new people along the way!!”

Q: What’s a common misconception about tradeswomen that you wish people understood?
👉 “A common misconception is that tradeswomen are less capable. In reality, trades are about skill, precision, and problem solving not brute strength and tradeswomen meet the same standards and do the job just as well.”

Q: How did it feel to step into a bold, fun side of yourself for the shoot?

👉 “I was super nervous about this shoot because it was totally out of my comfort zone. The incredible women there made me feel so empowered and encouraged me to step into a bold, fearless version of myself I hadn’t met before.”

Q: How do you balance the strength of your trade with embracing your femininity?

👉 “I don’t see them as opposites. My strength comes from my skill, confidence, and work ethic and my femininity is part of who I am, not something I have to turn off. I can be strong, capable, and tough at work while still embracing softness, style, and self-expression. Both can exist at the same time, and together they make me even stronger. 💪”

Q: What makes you feel the most powerful—on and off the job?

👉 “Just knowing that I can hold my own, know my worth, while having the freedom live my life the way I want!”

Q: What advice would you give to women entering male-dominated industries?

Q: What’s your go-to hype song or confidence boost?

👉 “Where are you now by Lost Frequencies & Calum Scott 🙌🎵”

Q: If you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be?

👉 “Just keep being me and show up for yourself, always challenge yourself. All dreams can be reachable if you want them bad enough ✨️”

Q: What’s one fun fact about you that people might not expect?

👉 “I just love being lost in adventure wherever that takes me 🤗✨️”

✨ Happy birthday to Miss December — yep, that’s me. ✨

This calendar started as a wild idea in my head, and somehow turned into one of the most meaningful projects I’ve ever taken on. I pulled together a group of incredible women — all of them tradeswomen — and we set out to show a side of ourselves people don’t always see. A mix of grit and softness, steel and fire, calloused hands and lashes done to perfection.

The team behind this whole thing was amazing, and the girls really brought everything they had. Every shot felt like its own story.

For anyone who doesn’t know me well, I’ve been a journeyman Red Seal structural ironworker for almost 14 years now. I love to travel, I stay involved with committees and groups that support women in the trades, and photography has become this thing I’m genuinely passionate about — especially when it lets me help women feel confident and powerful in their own skin.

The deadline for this project was chaos, things got delayed, and I definitely put in more blood, sweat, and tears than I planned… but somehow it all came together. And honestly? I’m proud of it. Really proud.

Stay tuned — the next project is already on its way.

Q&A

Q: What inspired you to get into construction/your trade?
👉 “My parents encouraged me to get into the RAP program, I’ve always been good with my hands.”

Q: What’s one thing you love about your job?
👉 “I love the ability to create and build things and challenge myself.”

Q: What’s a common misconception about tradeswomen that you wish people understood?
👉 “I wish people understood that women are just as capable (though being in the industry for this long, that stigma has definitely been worn down).”

Q: How did it feel to step into a bold, fun side of yourself for the shoot?
👉 “It felt great, I can’t wait to look back on these photos when I’m old and grey and remember my strength and beauty.”

Q: How do you balance the strength of your trade with embracing your femininity?
👉 “Some days I do still have to tell myself that I’m a girl — the whimsy must be protected at all costs. And I frequently bring baked goods and snackies for my crew.”

Q: What makes you feel the most powerful—on and off the job?
👉 “Power is a mindset, knowing that I won’t give up not just for myself but for everyone I know and love.”

Q: What advice would you give to women entering male-dominated industries?
👉 “Never doubt yourself, but in the same sense do not take on more than you can handle. Learn at your pace and be patient with yourself.”

Q: What’s your go-to hype song or confidence boost?

Q: If you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be?

Q: What’s one fun fact about you that people might not expect?
👉 “Fun fact: I’m a huge nerd and love my fantasy books and old school Nintendo.”

✨ Cally reminds us that strength and femininity aren’t opposites — they’re a force when combined. She shows up boldly, owns her space, and inspires others to do the same.

🌟 SheWorks Feature: Miss September – Sadie! 🌟

(Yes, this one’s a little late — life has been busy and we’ve been caught up, but we couldn’t miss celebrating this powerhouse 💕).

Sadie is a woman who wears many hats — Pipefitter by trade and hairstylist by passion. From tricky rigging jobs in the oilfield to flawless transformations behind the chair, she’s redefining what it looks like to be bold, skilled, and confident.

Q&A

Q: What inspired you to get into construction/your trade?
👉 “To be completely honest, I was never inspired by anything other than building up my bank account when I got into Pipefitting. Coming into the oilfield from being a hairstylist with no construction knowledge was very intimidating. Initially I didn’t think I’d stick around long but I ended up loving the work and wanted to continue to learn.”

Q: What’s one thing you love about your job?
👉 “I love the diversity of my trade. There is so much learning and evolving. Overcoming challenges and problem solving is so fulfilling for me. Out of it all, I’d say tricky rigging jobs are my favourite tasks.”

Q: What’s a common misconception about tradeswomen that you wish people understood?
👉 “There are definitely a few misconceptions about women in the trades. A big one would be when a woman joins a new crew there tends to be automatic assumptions that they may not know as much or be as capable as the men.”

Q: How did it feel to step into a bold, fun side of yourself for the shoot?
👉 “I was actually really nervous about the photoshoot because I’ve never been photographed like that before, but as soon as we started I felt like a sexy bad ass! It was so awesome having all these amazing women around cheering each other on. It was a great day full of laughs.”

Q: How do you balance the strength of your trade with embracing your femininity?
👉 “Balancing my femininity with my trade comes easy. Femininity to me isn’t just ‘dressing up’ or ‘doing hair’ — it’s simply being confident in whatever I do and how I do it.”

Q: What makes you feel the most powerful—on and off the job?
👉 “I feel most in my power at work when I’m in my groove with the task. Good flow and good efficiency makes me feel on top! Outside work, I’m most empowered when I am doing something I love, like travelling, snowboarding or accomplishing goals.”

Q: What advice would you give to women entering male-dominated industries?
👉 “Learn as much as possible, work hard and voice your opinion. Respect and a good reputation will follow.”

Q: What’s your go-to hype song or confidence boost?
👉 “There’s too many! Savage – by Whethan is a banger though.”

Q: If you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be?
👉 “Practice setting boundaries in order to keep your peace and energy safe. People will always push those boundaries intentionally or not. So start navigating that early in life!”

Q: What’s one fun fact about you that people might not expect?
👉 “I’m actually a low key adrenaline ju**ie. Especially when I travel, I’m usually trying to find different ways to get my heart pumping!”

✨ Sadie is proof that tradeswomen don’t have to choose between strength and style — you can run pipe one day and create flawless hair transformations the next. She’s bold, confident, and unapologetically herself.

🔥 SheWorks Ambassador Spotlight: Miss August – Kali ⚒️🔥

This month, we’re turning up the heat with Miss August – Kali, a certified badass who’s making noise as a boilermaker and turning heads as a model. Whether she’s knee-deep in the grind or striking a pose, Kali reminds us that you can be both tough as steel and soft as silk.

She doesn’t just break barriers — she walks right through them with grit, humor, and no filter. With a second family on the job, a dirt bike on the weekends, and unapologetic confidence in front of the lens, Kali is a walking reminder that women in the trades don’t fit in a box — and they’re not here to impress anyone but themselves.

💬 SheWorks Interview with Miss August – Kali

What inspired you to get into construction/your trade?
I’ve always been good with my hands. Customer service wasn’t for me — I was too honest and had no filter, and people didn’t really like that.

What’s one thing you love about your job?
The people. Some of the friendships I’ve made outside work have become like a second family — and when you’re away, that means everything.

What’s a common misconception about tradeswomen you wish people understood?
That we’re all the same. We’re not. Some of us are just here to work, get our money, and move on. It sucks to hear people say they don’t like women on site because of past issues. I’ve worked damn hard to prove myself, over and over again.

How did it feel to step into a bold, fun side of yourself for the shoot?
I love shooting. I’ve been doing it for a while now. It’s always a huge confidence boost to see the final pictures and think, damn, that’s really me!

How do you balance the strength of your trade with embracing your femininity?
At work, I’ve got no makeup, my hair’s up, beanie on — I’m not there to impress anyone. But on my days off? I dress up, do my makeup, wear something pretty. That’s when I feel good and get to enjoy that side of me.

What makes you feel the most powerful—on and off the job?
On the job, it’s being recognized for how hard I work. I’ve got passion and I give it my all. Off the job, it’s the reactions I get when I tell people what I do — people are always surprised. That “wow” never gets old.

What advice would you give to women entering male-dominated industries?
Fit in or f**k off, as the saying goes. You’re here to work, so work. Show them you can do it — and do it better. If we want equality, we can’t separate ourselves. Just get in and get it done.

What’s your go-to hype song or confidence boost?
Ashnikko – Deal With It. She’s such a badass woman!

If you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be?
Don’t doubt yourself. You’ve always done that — but it’s your time to shine and show them what you’re made of.

What’s one fun fact about you that people might not expect?
I race dirt bikes sometimes in my free time with my boyfriend and his son!

🔥 SheWorks Ambassador Spotlight: Miss March – Tiana ⚒️🔥

This month, we’re shining the spotlight on Tiana, a powerhouse in the piling industry who proves that strength and femininity can go hand in hand. Whether she’s on-site running with the crew, exploring new places, or stepping into her confidence, she’s owning her space in every way.

💬 SheWorks Interview with Miss March: Tiana

👷‍♀️ What inspired you to get into construction?
💬 “I come from a family full of pilers and construction workers. I remember my dad and brother coming home late, dirty, and tired, thinking, ‘I could never do that—I don’t even want to try it.’

Eventually, I hit a point where I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do, but I needed to provide for myself while figuring it out. I was offered a job at a piling company with the understanding that if I didn’t like it, I’d quit. After the first week, I was hooked… and the rest is history.”

⚒️ What’s one thing you love about your job?
💬 “My crew and the culture. It sounds cliché, but everyone builds each other up, and we all get along so well. That’s important when you spend so much time together.”

🚧 What’s a common misconception about tradeswomen?
💬 “That we can’t be feminine and still do our job well. I get told all the time that I’m ‘too girly’ to work in piling. If that were true, I wouldn’t have a job.”

🔥 How did it feel to step into a bold, fun side of yourself for the SheWorks shoot?
💬 “Super nerve-wracking! But Lauralee was the best hype man ever and made me feel so confident. It was such a fun and empowering experience.”

💪 How do you balance the strength of your trade with embracing your femininity?
💬 “When I’m at work, I’m in full work mode—tough, independent, and strong-willed to do my job well. But when I’m off the clock, I embrace everything feminine that I love. Whether it’s getting my lashes and nails done or taking yoga classes and grabbing coffee with my girls, I remind myself that you can stand up for yourself while still being kind.”

What makes you feel the most powerful—on and off the job?
💬 “Knowing that I can hold my own, no matter where I am.”

What advice would you give to women entering male-dominated industries?
💬 “You have every right to take up just as much space as the men. Ask the questions, push for better, and know when a company isn’t right for you.”
