Whoa, we had a busy weekend. I have much sorting left to do. Currently still exporting the HiRes PNGs for my Friendo's from todays Blossom shoot. I am very happy with the results! I hope they are as much as I am.

So I've noticed this weird exclusion in fantasy photography/art - Women are either forever 25 or old crones and monsters. There's this total erasure of our women looking between 40-60 years old.

Fantasy is literally for everyone. All the books I read are filled with powerful men and women at every age, so why don't we represent this in our images??

It took me a little bit of digging to find some souls willing to be the first cracks in the iceberg.

Many women I talked to were interested but "I don't really look that young anymore, we might have to clean me up a bit!"

To which I excitedly shot back "But I **love** your lines! I love your face and your body just how it is! I don't want to change anything, because exactly how you are is exactly what I'm looking for. Your lines are what make you beautiful. Yes, it's changed from what it was, but that doesn't mean there's anything wrong it!"

It took me a while, but I found some souls.
