So. Today. Today I had my last day of work. They held a bbq for me for my last day working . It was great having my work family gather for my last work day before we move to Edmonton. For those that haven’t heard, we’re moving! Ahah, We leave in just a short 5 more days.
I’ve had so many experiences, good and bad here in grande prairie and it welcomed me with all kinds of work and life experiences. I’ve learned a lot, been through a lot and have grown a lot while being here and for all of it I’m grateful. For everyone person I’ve met and shared some time with I’m glad it happened, it has helped shape me as a person in my adult life. I’ve called this place home for 12 years and it’s come time to carry on. All my friends I’ve met here know it’s not the end of a friendship and I haven’t had the time to get in touch with everyone as life has been quite busy this last few months so if I haven’t reached out to you I apologize and I do care. A good friend and once roommate Justin Hibbs said “it’s the end of an era” and he couldn’t have been more right. I’ve been thinking about it over the last week and gp really was an era, a decade, and a lot happens in just over a decade. The hardest part about leaving is definitely leaving the community and friends I’ve made while here. And although I won’t be living here I hope to maintain the friendships I’ve made as a lot of you feel like family to me.
I Love you all and here’s to the end of an era!
And to the start of a new one!
5 more days! 🤙
